    Plenty Chaos Dwarf-y!

A full unit will look great. How many have you got left to convert?

They look really good. I'd like to see a bit better differentiation between the armour and the weapon; perhaps paint the grip and half in non-metallics, that would do the trick.
Some of the best looking converted Chaos Dwarfs I've ever seen.

Do you need more marauder shields/ weapons? I reckon I've got a bunch stashed if you're in need.

Is the faceplate on the left hand dwarf upside down?

    Yes it is!

Those Chaos Dwarfs look great, though their hats aren't quite big enough. I like the bronze colour you've painted them, it sets them apart from their non-chaotic counterparts.

Thats high praise guys, thanks a lot! The paint job still needs to be finalised with a few more models, and you're right, i need to add a bit differentiation with the weapons from armour.
Hehe and yup, that mask is upside down, it just looked a lot better than the right way up.

I'm pretty good for marauder bits, might run out of shoulder pads but i think i'll be okay. Big shortage is Chaos-y weapons. I'm running low on the chaos-y axes and stuff and the marauder ones aren't quite ornate enough.

(Apparently Replies have to be 10 characters long, 'done' is simple not enough)

Apparently, on Saturday. Hobby session: painting, converting, building, etc...
Start at 11am. Go through until about 5-6pm
My Place, assuming peoples are okay with that.

Also... finished the banner bearer off in a fit of inspiration!

Standard looks great Ben. I like a good looking Battle Standard, you should use him more often. Not that elves need a bsb (although I can think of at least one game where a re-rollable break test or two would have been handy...)

Battle standard looks amazing Ben, looking forward to seeing the entire army again.
I haven't posted anything for a while, but here's a bit of an update, the greatswords are mostly finished, just need to do the command and final highlights and grass, but here's a picture of the banner I think I need to clean it up, but was hoping for some opinions and ways to improve it, it's only the second freehand banner I've done so any help would be great.

    Banner looks great.
Perhaps a border might look good

I agree that a border would help tie it together.
Also you can use black to 'cut back' into the yellow to sharpen up the points if you want.

Unit's looking good though, great progress!

Barring some inspiration later tonight. The end of the first month stands at this from myself.

11 Ogre Bulls with ironfists and full command (382 pts)
    - Skin, Teeth, Hair - COMPLETE
    - Clothing - COMPLETE
    - Metal - based and washed (x3). Still need to drybrush and add 'chips'
    - Base - based, washed, stones complete. Still need to drybrush and add snow
    - Standard - Haven't decided on a good standard yet

9 Ironguts with Full Command (417 pts)
    - Skin, Teeth, Hair - COMPLETE
    - Clothing - COMPLETE
    - Metal - Still need to based and washed (x3) drybrush and add 'chips'
    - Base - based, washed, stones complete. Still need to drybrush and add snow
    - Standard - incomplete

So, the Bulls are about 75% complete and the Ironguts are just over 50% complete.

But I'm not sure what you want to do about the spreadsheet Jack. Because not all of the models above are in my tournament army.
the Tournament army has about 318pts of Bulls and 245pts of Ironguts. So I've painted roughly 318pts of my 1500pt list...

Next month I plan to finish off the Bulls and Ironguts and make a start on my Mournfang

Great start Will, I like the choice of gold on them It suits them and makes them look like a very rich horde of ogres. I'm happy to put down the full amounts of points painted, as long as your army you use in the tournament is fully painted I'm not fussed what you paint, you'll only be deducted points from the tournament if you fall below the 1500 point mark for the full 8 months. But I'll put you down for a WIP for this month and when they're finished I'll put down the full amount of points.

Here's a photo of progress on the Knights. Next step: red feathers! When the Knights are done, I plan to paint 16 Spearmen.
