A few tentative suggestions:
Hit me!
Horns. Something of a motif amongst the Nurglich hordes. I can imagine both unicorn/rhino style ones or more lopsided asymmetrical examples. You can mix organic and artificial too, so some could look like chaos taint warping the thing and others can look like alterations made by adoring followers.
I had that suggestion on another site as well, so that seems the most probably solution to an otherwise fairly featureless part of the model. I have mused upon modified Dryad parts bursting out, your thoughts?
Nurglings. Gotta love Nurglings, one or two clambering over a blight drone could be fun. Extra points if one's wearing a Biggles style flight helmet.
I'll see if I can fit one on the actual model somewhere, and if not then hiding on the base. Maybe reaching out for the Blight Drone to pick him up and take him away like a small child.
Disease! A few extra buboles and pustules dotted around on the front could break it up a bit. Probably not the most challenging idea though.
That's a given, will add some pustules and sores in the crevasses.
Mouth. A big grinning, yellow-toothed, mouth possibly with a tongue hanging out of it. Nurgly, Chaosy and a great way to make the already quite disturbing Daemon Engine seem a little more disturbing.
I'll admit it's unlikely for this one but based on this
piece of inspirational concept art, will make it into a Defiler down the line.
Looking forward to seeing more.
This pleases me greatly!

It is isn't it? You should see the size difference between it and the model shown below...

Pretty much what Hawke said. The "truescale" ideal is to make the models look more proportional to the far more impressive artwork. There are two plasticard spacers in each leg as well as one underneath the waist belt. Having to cut the models up so much gives me the chance to really play with pose and composition.

As always feral, i await this projects progression, given your other logs we'll be in for a treat.

I'll admit I may of read it somewhere else before but it rolls off the tongue so it's mine now!
Whew, lots of lovely responses!
Anyway, call it a distraction if you want but it's progress to me;
One of my pledges for the year was to finally get some Renegade Militia done! I have decided to concentrate on making up enough for a
Vraksian Renegade Attack Forces Apocalypse formation. This lovely Rogue Psyker is the first in a smallish line of other Renegade Militia, along the lines of a big old Militia Platoon, Apostate Preachers, Enforcers and a Malcador Defender which I have had for several years and done nothing with. The shame!
More progress soon, I'm on a roll here!
