The apothecaries look nice, though I've never been much of a SM guy. I don't feel the predator look with that rounded turret, though. Also, why would you pay 15 points more for a heavy conversion beamer? The plasma blastgun seems flat-out better except at over 48 inches, and you can move and fire it. It seems like you're paying to nerf yourself.

Hmm. I think the Predator lacks cohesion.

The round-turreted predator is, I think, a "throwback" for those of us who had the Rogue Trader/early 2nd edition era model. Personally, I think it is fine, but might slightly prefer the mkIII to the mkI (and think the mkII was quite bad, especially as it was a pewter/plastic hybrid).

I [still] quite like the Plasma-ator. The Conversion-ator has a cool old school sci-fi thing going on too (shame about the rules), although I'm not sure either of them fit in too well with the standard Marine aesthetic.

My Ryzan Skitarii would take them if they could.

The rounded turret and ribbed gun makes it too penis-y.

The Predator looks like the result of a rhino chassis meeting a poorly-stocked kit-basher. I'm not really sure what's supposed to be going on there. I like the "standard" Predator look far more than that...thing.

The Apothecaries are nice, though the Mk IV's tabard looks awkward and the Mk II helmet always makes me giggle.

I like the detail on the Narthecium and Reductors on those kits... I love how it conveys the process of design evolution from the great crusade to contemporary astartes gear, with the earlier mark having a fairly rudimentary set-up. In some ways it suggests at how the role of the Apothecary has grown in importance between the Crusade and the post-heresy setting (and, with that, the value of an individual marine being much higher in the contemporary setting than it was when Legions where running around with hundreds of thousands of marines).

    Those apothecaries are absolutely amazing.

Can't say I'm a fan of the predator however, with the top turret it looks a little bit like a poorly designed toy tank.

I like the predator, it looks as though it would fit in with my old RT predator in my old RT Imperial Army/Guard force as well as my old RT SM force. The round turret is just like it was back in the olden days.

Not sure about the apothecaries, they look like nice figures but I am wondering how many bits they are in? Will all those little bottles and flasks be on a seperate sprue requiring about ten fingers per hand some shaped like tweasers to put them together properly without making a mess of them. I would worry about that. Then again they maybe just in one or two bits but there are no photos of the sprue so it is hard to see for sure?

Looks like arms, shoulders, backpacks, maybe heads and hands as well. I'd say about 6-7 parts each.

I like the domed predator turret, but it looks odd on the current boxy predator kit. I think it would look much better fitted onto a squater/shorter chassis. Similar to the design of soviet era tanks like the T-55 and T-72.

Try mounting it on a Chimaera hull?

yeah, mine arrived on Friday (Salute preorder) - they're great. Separate arms, shoulderpads, backpacks, rocks (the fact they're both on "Standing on rocks" poses is kinda irritating)

I'll be using mine as Aspiring Champions, the MK3 one especially looks fantastic. Not a massive fan of the weapons though

I came ridiculously close to buying those Apothecaries. I don't even play an army that can use them; I just love the models.

I have the apothecaries, they really are lovely. Easy for arm and pad swap outs too. Already added a winged jump pack, power sword and fusion pistol so one can accompany sanguinary guard. Looks nice!
