    Modor list of 750 points

LotR or WotR army list: LotR
I will show you my Mordor list. My idea comes from the Kult of Speed of the Orcs at W40K.

    1st Warband

    The Shodow Lord mounted
    8 Morgul Knights
    1 Morannon Orc with shield

    2nd Warband
Black Númenórean Chief mounted with shield
    6 Morannon Orcs with shield
    6 Mordor Orcs with spear

    3rd Warband
Black Númenórean Chief mounted with shield
    6 Morannon Orcs with shield
    6 Mordor Orcs with spear

    4th Warband
    Drummer Orc
    6 Morannon Orcs with shield
    6 Mordor Orcs with spear

    750 points

What do you think about this army?

Wait, so Black Numenorean chiefs are Mordor units, and Black Numenoreans are Harad. Therefore meaning that a BM chief can never lead BM warriors, and vice versa? Weird.

List looks pretty solid, though I'd invest in some ranged support (not the most game changing thing, but does help).
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart attack'.

    Hive Fleet Colossus (zoats!)

    What kind of support?

Looks like I need to get another sourcebook...

Some archery in the form of stalkers, just to harrass the enemy a little. Would help with wittling down cavalry charges and really hamper slow units.

The problem is that I have any archery. That's why i took the Shadow Lord for the protection and the Drummer to have a better move.

After i use my cavalry to outflank my enemy. So i don't need to harass.

Finally i changed y idea. I want to make an army maybe more classic but with more witches.

    1st Warband
    The Shadow Lord mounted

    2nd Warband
Black Numenorean Chief mounted with shield
    6 Morgul Knights

    3rd Warband
    The Mouth of Sauron
    6 Black Numenorean
    6 Mordor orcs with spear

    4th Warband
    Morannon orc captain with shield
    6 Morannon orcs with shield
    6 Mordor orcs with spear

    5th Warband
    Mordor orc Shaman
    6 Morannon orcs with shield
    6 Mordor orcs with spear

    748 points

Maybe i can put a Nazgul instead of the Mouth of Sauron to improve the terror of the Black Numenoreans.

What do you think about this one? Better or too different?

I wouldn't worry too much, the way the deployment rules work currently it likely wont be an issue.

If I were you I'd swap the Shadowlord for the Dark Marshall or the might-sucking Nazgul (tainted?), if you've played much under the new rules, or even looked at them you'll realise that entire armies don't deploy together, you're not going to be able to move your entire force up the table under the SL's "umbrella".

On your last list I would seriously reconsider taking a character with no troops, drop one of the Orc characters and get your Nazgul to lead that warband, then plough the points you save into more cavalry, 6 is not really that many for a game this size imho esp when you still have no archers.

Re: Modor list of 750 points

I agree with you about many points except with my cavalry. So I will begin by this point first.

I tested my cavalry with 8 and after with 6 Knights and I prefer using with 6. It's easier to fight with the all 6 Knights in same time than with 8. And I save 40 points when i take only 6. So i can have more soldiers.

Second point about the Shadow Lord and the Dark Marshall, I made a choice between them and finally i took the Shadow Lord and I didn't regret this choice. But the last time I played with this army my Morannon orc Captain is here just for his might points. So maybe i can drop him. And now I'm hesitating between 2 choices:
    - I drop my captain, the Mouth of Sauron and an Morannon orc and I put the Dark Marshall
    OR
    - I drop only my captain and i take 3 black guard of Barad-Dûr and 2 Mordor orcs with spear.
The first option will be for the banner effect because I miss something to winning the fight.
The second option is really for the strengh and the capacity to kill easily the high defense.

So all my heros will command his warband and won't be alone.

So help me to make a choice ^^
