Creation of A World-Class Gaming Arena

I am preparing a business plan to secure finance for astart-up hobby centre in the UK. I believe it would be a huge success; tryingto convince the bank that it will be is another matter. That is where you guyscome in! I would be really grateful to any members of the community if youcould fill out this short questionnaire that I have prepared (max. time twominutes). As you will be our potential customers it will be particularly enlightening to hear about your frustrations with all aspects of the hobby as a paying customer. All questions answered will be treated with the strictest confidence. You could really help out a long-time wargamer with a vision to create aworld-class cultural centre for wargamers worldwide. Thank you in advance.

You can access the questionnaire here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...VGFZbEM4WEE6MQ

We have a few options available but it will probably be Birmingham; we want to be quite close to an international airport to attract gamers from outside the UK.

Yeah, I here you. That is my dream too; we are playing with the idea of creating a 6 foot high section of a hive city for large Necromunda battles. Most terrain makers go horizontally when creating more gaming space

I think your Q11 distances are possibly not going to help your business case. Going from 30 miles for local to 200 miles for regional... Personally I'd have gone 50, 100 150, 200+ miles for your distances - if you'd had those I'd have checked the 100 mile box but realistically I wouldn't tick a box saying up to 200 miles if you want me to be honest. If you're looking to base yourselves in Birmingham 100 miles covers most of the midlands, Manchester, out to Cambridge or so.

Thanks for the feedback; when I run a survey next time(hopefully, when we're up and running), I will use your suggestion if that's alright. I was attempting to make it more generic for the worldwide community. Appreciate the support.

Filled in. Agree that terrain would be the most important especially LOS blocking. I'm sick of playing on billiard ball desert worlds with a couple of poxy walls and a fecking oasis as cover.
Good atmosphere and a bar would help as well

Done, Luton is ripe for a gaming store as there is none in the town, and the airport is here as well as beign a stones throw from London.
