I want to know what people think about the individual books of the Horus Heresy series. So employing a method used by Dan Brown I ask you the fans to give each book you have written a score out of 10. Feel free to add a sentence in or two about why you have given it that score but please keep things simple. After a month I will take an average of all the scores and update my post. If people keep reviewing I will keep updating it.
Don’t worry if you haven’t read all of them, just review the ones you have read and if you have read more update your review.

Really got across the feeling of fatigue, doom, and weariness in the Great Crusade.
I was iniatally crushed when I realised that the Gene Data had been sabotaged, but then another thought occured to me... why didn't the Emperor give the gene data to Dorn? He could have made millions of superior Astartes. Odd.
I do not understand why he killed Nemiel. In Descent of Angels it hints Nemiel/Zahariel will meet again in worse times. It seems stupid to kill him after building up his character so much. I would have loved the presumed confrontation on Caliban between the cousins. Not only that, but his death was very clumsy. The Lion could have just demoted him. But no, a decapitation
