    The fear of Finecast?

So I recently started making a Draigowing army so I checked out the reviews on the model and google came up with a bunch of threads/blog about the woes of finecast. I hear that most finecast models have many minor/major defects in them which has made me reluctant to buy any finecast models. I have decided to just convert a plastic Draigo out of the terminator set with a handmade storm shield because I think the box is highly detailed. People such as Mathieu Fontaine in this blog http://www.akaranseth.com/blog/7-8-fail.htm have complained about the quality of finecast models and for some reason keeps buying them on a "quest" to find the perfect cast. Now I am an economics major and I just don't understand why people even bother buying finecast if they know it will have quality issues. I have been careful not to buy finecast mainly because of the reputation on the internet. So pretty much why are people still buying them? If people stop buying them GWS will be forced to improve the quality because if they can't sell them in the state they are currently in they will not make a profit.
    welcome to the guard.
Heh. Where life is cheap, but the models certainly aren't.

If you head on down to the GW General Discussion forum you will find a lengthy thread on Finecast there, with people discussing their opinions of it.
