I like those Razorworms, good to see something that actually looks somewhat alien finally.
Those who know don't care any more, and those who care don't know.
Still not live...ive never been very patient at the best of times but for some reason after watching Prometheus yesterday I'm even more intreagued by this game...
The models are lovely. Its unfortunate the rules have not been previewed long before now though. Plus price is a huge thing, no signs of that either. It goes live today with pre orders but with no rules info or pricing info as nice as the models are i`ll probably give it a miss as its something that i`d like to know more about before spending money on what could be pretty rubbish
Rules and pricing info will be going up with the pre-orders, hopefully in the next 3-4 hours - they can hardly ask you to advance order something without telling you how much they'll cost!
I know. Its just an odd way to sell a game without having rules previewed before hand and prices previewed as well especially for pre ordering a totally new thing no one knows anything about. Even if just yesterday some rules, price info was released at least folks may be thinking more about buying. The mini`s alone look to be worth buying but without a price and it just going out today I think some people will be really wary about investing without proper knowledge of the game
How about the odd idea of reading what goes on the website later today, then making the decision to buy afterwards? It's not like the pre-orders only valid if made within 1 minute of the website launch.
I just don't understand the criticism of the launch that I'm reading here (or other sites). What if there were no pre-orders at all? What if the website were going live today but it was known that you wouldn't be able to order anything until the end of July? That way everyone would have 8 weeks to make up their mind, but nobody who was interested would be able to ensure themselves a batch of models on or near the release date.
Seems like Hawk are offering people a service, without taking anything away from people who don't wish to use it, and there are still complaints.
My thoughts exactly...
Am I understanding this right. Hawk are putting you off the game because they're going to allow pre-orders when the website launches and before it launches you don't know how much the minis cost or what the rules are? WTF?
An interesting experiment done with a piece of DZC sprue can be seen here. Apparently yes, you can break it, but only if you're in the habit of twisting your models into pretzels.
Hopefully it will be more heat resistant than Finecast.
Ah, I was begginging to feel uncomfortable, but luckily someone managed to find something to complain about! Balance is restored in the world, wargamers whining about the silliest things.

You'll have to rephrase, then, as redben gave the same paraphrasing job to your posts that I would've given.
The information is supposed to be there when you're able to make pre-orders (i.e., look around the site). I can't think of a game that had rules or pricing info before a website launch, anyway...
Their website is live now. Have to say they're pricier than I was hoping for
No rules preview or idea on game sizes, makes knowing how much to pre-order difficult
I can't get on the site but some people are talking about the hundred dollar mark for a basic kit?
Given how cheap other wargames are to start, if its correct I'm out completely. I wouldn't mind so much but the material there using (if its similar to the stuff I've been looking at) is fairly cheap.

I'll wait and see, but for now, seems like no deal. Not paying almost 70 quid for 6 tiny tanks and 4 infantry +3 flyers on average and without rulebook. And it seems there won't be downloadable rulebook either.

One of the starter sets would probably be a good bet.Looks like the Shaltari for me. After paying DP9 prices, these are a breath of fresh air; £11 for three 35mm long tanks, as opposed to £14 for on 53mm long model? At the other end of the scale, Pendraken will sell you a 10mm sci fi APC for £2.40, but I wouldn't use them if you paid me to take 'em.

For the quality of the minis (I saw them at Salute) I think the prices are reasonable mainly, perhaps a tad much on the tanks, which appear to be the core unit type.
That said, I'm mentally breaking down the scourge models into easily-scratchbuilt subassemblies to make a force of my own (can't stand offset turrets)
Anyway, these are RRP, there will be sales, and discount retailers.

Has a little bit of info on the rules. I hope they proofread their rulebook better than the website though.
