This is great news. If Mantic can make some decent cultists and angels I will just give them that months paycheck. I like the idea of cross over between armies for some of the units like shamblers for the elves and the nature orientated humans. I really hope they give the druids some options to take warbeasts like wolves, bears, eagles and possibly a giant monster (M:TG's Naya faction springs to mind).

I like Naya, but I don't think that side of the force translates very well to the tabletop. The humans, elves and catfolk are fine, but a beastmaster-type force means you're doing a lot of sculpting and mould-making for the payoff, or else you're going to see a lot of identical animals in identical poses.

It's more plausible if you limited yourself to creatures that are credible threats in their own right. Some backwater shaman leading a pack of dire wolves or a bunch of Nayans herding behemoths to trample the enemy would be examples that come to mind.

I am envisaging a horde of Chaos thugs and Chaos cultists in a sinister human style available on plastic sprues...

If they're looking to get 3 new armies out, which are all relatively niche, I'd imagine the kits will be resin plastic.

We haven't had a fully-new plastic sprue for nearly a year now, and it's possible that we'll only get goblin archers this year in hard plastic.

Mantic are more about getting as much done as possible at the moment, they need to make money and get things rolling before they can go back to hard plastic all the way.

I have been considering buying some mantic models for a while now, but the current armies just don't do it for me. An angelic human army or a nature based army will probably force me over to Mantic from GW.
