Fisticuffs when resolving a challenge.
No actual fighting but I've seen plenty of thrown dice, thrown models and rage quits.
I've seen a club chairman throw scenery when he lost a game once. Made all the more comical as he also cheated like mad but still lost the game lol.

I have never seen anything physical and I would be happy for such people to be banned from the local store for it. No need to get so angry over toy soldiers.

I have a plog now! Now with actual painted models
Yeah, 2008 or something 'ard boyz semi's down at showcase comic's in Pennsylvania one of the participants was escorted out by security from threatening his opponent.
I had someone try and start a fight with me in the Glasgow GW as they believed I was taking pictures of the then new War of the Ring rulebook with my phone to avoid paying for the product. That was an especially loyal customer. Other than that I've seen the usual models thrown tantrums.
Not experienced fighting myself, but i have seen some choice words passed between players during some tournaments when one party or the other started silly shananigans and rules interpretations, or when mates 'advise' during a game.
I myself had to put my dice down a bit hard and gor for a cup of tea during a store tournament playing against my mate, he killed 3 war walkers with the librarian power that takes a line across the table and makes you pass a leadership test, sue to squadron rules that hurt.
However it came alright in the end as i got a 1000 point seer council within the 12" of the centre objective so won 1000 points back again! he thought i only had to get to 6", i was 1" within the 12". then he had to walk away for a cup of tea too hehe. was a good game, and i ended up winning the tournament.
In reference to Squat usage in game.

I was part of a group of serving and ex-Army mates years ago, and they were the most unpleasantly competitive pack of bastards ever. Almost every weekend there was an episode of near-fisticuffs over niff-naff and trivia. One bloke was a copper and was always threatening to arrest someone if anything ever got out of hand, and there's nothing like a copper making threats to a British squaddie to start Fight Night. Magic.
Suffice to say I left and never looked back, and have never ever in twenty-five years come across such appalling behaviour even from kids involved in GW games.
Makes me laugh that it happens over 40k lol, although it can get quite annoying when you are getting battered.
I had one in 3rd ed, where me and another guy were in a tournie and my Farseer had a singing spear, i honestly for the life of me can remember the rules now but basically it was a doubles tournie and on the other side were 2 blokes, one was laid back and nice the other was super competitive. The super competitive one went to the loo and it was our turn, so i threw my singing spear (bear in mind i was about 16/17 at the time) and i got the strength wrong or something insignificant, the other one comes back just as were resolving damage and asks whats going on, the laid back guy says whats happened and the other one just looks at me and shouts "You are lying!!!" i was honestly a bit shocked, id forgot a part of the stat line and he goes nuts.
What a jerkbag.

Never seen anything like this happen.
Seen an ex-squaddie threaten to put a 16 year olds head "In a car door and slam it shut multiple times." In a GW. The 16 year old was pretty big and strong, the squaddie a bit indoorsy and weak.
Funny how this seems to happen over 40k. Never seen the same over a game of warmachine. Either the tighter rules dont allow for interpretation, or the players are more mature, or the players of 40k are just a lot more immature.
In a FLGS had some kids come in and cause trouble, messing about, ridiculing some other kids playing and a regular punched one of them in the back of the head when they were leaving and told them to **** off and never come back. Saw some scuffles when I was a redshirt, but nothing serious. Don't think anything actually game related.
Physical violance against others? I have only heard of an incident that I apparently just missed. It was at the '96 Grand Tournament in Baltimore, the very first GT GW ever did. Jervis was there, books were signed, it was a great time. Anyways, I was coming down to see the scores that were just posted on the wall to see exactly how badly I was doing. One of the people up there I was talking to (I think a prior opponent) told me that one of the players went off on a judge after the scores were posted. Things got physical, and he was forced to leave the tournament.
As for me personally, I've had a person kick a chair and yell "this game is broken!" while I was beating him in 40K. Another one was over a game of BloodBowl, where I scored a touchdown, the guy picked up a chair, chucked it across the room, which resulted in cracking the table it landed on in half. He storms off, to which his friend, who was sitting next to me, smiles, extends his hand for a handshake and says "Congratulations, you won!".
Lot's of damage to furniture, nothing to me thank goodness. Still silly, either way.
Wow some of these are really interesting guys keep em coming.

Worst I've ever seen was my little sister beat this military guy(new to our group, had only play up at our LGS twice) with her Dark Eldar(she's 15, he was early 20s, my guess is 19-20), and he proceeded to pitch a rage quitting b*tch-fit and curse her out. Not knowing I was her brother, or ex-army, he thought I was just there watching. I laughed about how immature he was being(granted, I'm only 24, but dude, its a GAME). Then he got in my face, said we shouldn't have "Stupid little b*tches playing in this store", in which I replied with an elbow to his throat and pinned him to the ground and made him apologize to my sister. He was then kicked out by the rest of our crew(who happen to see my little sister as their collective little sister) and we've never seen him again.
Talk about poor sportsmanship...![]()

Nope. Never seen anyone get more upset than saying a few "naughty" words.

I had a guy throw his regiment of Bretonnian Knights across the room after getting them wiped by Azhag the Slaughterer (way back in 5th Ed, this was...)
Another time, a kid came into the store on rollerblades, slipped, caught himself by grabbing the table, and brought an entire 4-way 12000-point game crashing down in ruin. The only reason there wasn't bloodshed because of that was that he managed to get back on his blades and out of the store with a headstart before any of the players recovered enough from their shock to smack him.

Seen a guy at one store I went to, who had been banned multiple times (large turnover of staff made him able to keep coming back), throw many a temper tantrum and slam his models in the case (even going at a Warwalker squadron with a set of clippers) after I corrected him on a rule.
But the one that takes the cake, is taken from Dakkadakka:

Sheesh...guy comes at him with clippers and draws blood. I'd be pressing charges...though I likely would have reacted in the same was as LLF, even though glaring and saying "I hope you have a damn good lawyer" would have likely been more satisfying.
