Ork Blood Axes - A massacre in the making

The Blood Axes have long been a distant dream of mine... way back in the old days when i drooled over the artworks of Paul Bonner and Mark Gibbons...

So finally... i let my brain go into crazymode... 'Ere We Go!

First up was an idea i had when i saw the old AT-43 Red Blok models (Now disused) and i thought they would fit perfect as meganobz

a little bit later the first 5 meganobz was completed and are ready to be primed



My overall idea with the army is that it should be an WW2 inspired Blood Axe army full of bits from german tanks and whatnot...

Blood axes are, and will always be, my favourite ork klan. I totally look forward to seeing more.

By the by, given that you invoked the good name Mark Gibbons, can we expect at least an attempt at his supercool image of the blood axe boss chuffing away at a cigar, dressed in a peaked cap and heavy greatcoat, with a pickelhaube an monocle sporting gretchin adc, complete with swagger stick? That would be awesome, as that is my favourite Ork image (and when the current Kommando minis were released I squeed a little at the nobz pose for mimicking that ironic piece).

Aghast - Wow! Those are some really nice mega nobz. The thing that sucks with mega nobz is that they have slow and purposeful.
