    Question about assaulting

Correct me if im wrong. The assaulting unit gets a +1 attack bonus right? So if the assaulting units turn is over does the other unit get the assault bonus because they're now attacking me? Or is the bonus only for my unit? And is it only for the turn when i assaulted?

Been a fan for a while but just started playing, any help would be great!
    Thanks!

    Re: Question about assaulting

The +1 attack for assaulting that turn only applies to units that charged into close combat in that player's turn - indeed, in the same phase. If the combat goes on, neither side gets the bonus. If new units charge into the existing combat, those units will get the bonus in the immediately ensuing combat, but the units that were already in the combat will not. Again, if the close combat continues, none of the units already in the combat will get the charging bonus.

P.S.: We often use "charge" to refer to initial assault moves, but that convention isn't actually in the main ruleset. It's just clearer.

    Re: Question about assaulting

Also remember that when you charge in both sides attack in your turn, and again in the next etc. Sounds a bit like you are only attacking with your men in your assault phase and then only with your opponents men in his?
    Waaaaaaaaaaaaarg! Bring ear defenders.
