The Plan
Right then, I think the plan really is to run the three Rhino Grey Hunter squads together towards objectives, or as a hunting group in kill points. The 5 man Razorback Grey Hunters will more than likely stay close to the Long Fangs to support them and prevent any opportunistic attacks on them – In objectives, these guys will be the home objective sitters. The Long Fangs, Predator and the Terminators will use their longer range to target threats to the bulk of the infantry, and then move on to Transport suppression. The Terminators will be Podded into a forwards position on a flank to try and get side shots on vehicles, and essentially provide a distraction – The Stormshield should add some resilience to low volume heavy weapon fire. The Speeders will more than likely be utilised on the opposite flank to the Terminators. The Scouts will obviously try to come in from the opponent’s board edge and hopefully encourage people to move their units forwards towards the Grey Hunters. Anyway, that’s how it’ll work in my head – As we all know, a battle plan seldom survives contact with an enemy!
It’s probably important to note that I’m using the Space Wolves Codex to represent a DIY Chapter, and as such have avoided the units and upgrades that can’t be explained outside the Space Wolves, like Thunderwolves, Fenrisian Wolves and Mark of the Wulfen.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks
