Found this the other day. Looks like the perry are very slightly shorter and slimmer than warlord, but match quite well. Good job really as I have just ordered 8 boxes of the buggers!

3 Line regiments for my the big battle im planning later this year. More details on that later.
Need to finish basing the rearmost regiment.

The command i by Perry miniatures, great sculpts, mix well with warlord.

Just some critisism to warlord! Why on earth do you not include commands in the Russian army box? I had to order 3 commandsprues from the Perrys to be able to complete my Black Powder force.

Nice figs, nicely based. Yes the single pose can cause issues with players coming from skirmish games, but when you play something like this with 10-12 battalions per side, the individual figures are less of an issue and it is the overall impression you are after. This means that the level of painting can be lower, but the overall spectical more impressive. I'm taking about 20 minutes a figure, just base colours and washed, and they look great in units.

Just a couple of things on your Russians ( as I sit painting another 32 figure battalion of jagers atm) You have a battalion of grenadiers (all plumes), a battalion of Pavloski grenadiers, which may or may not be rated as Guard (can't remember when they were elevated to the Guard corp), and a battalion of line at the back. The battalion at the back has red pom poms on their shako's, they should be either white with a green dot for the first battalion, or sky blue with a white dot for the third battalion. I'm not sure on the red cuffs on the officers coat either, but will look that up when I get home.

Still a nice start to your Russian army, now get some artillery You can't play Russians with batteries and batteries of BIG guns!
