    EPIC 40,000 Lifta Droppa Rules

Can someone just clarify how the Lifta Droppa works againts enemy titans in EPIC 40,000 please. Ive read and re-read the rules but they just dont seem clear to me.

    The bit i dont understand
''In order to grab and lift a target you have to roll a D6 and beat its damage capacity (1 for vehicles; war engines have a Damage Capacity of 3 or more depending on their type).

How do i know what type the war engine is? Does it mean that I can only pick up and drop a titan once its DC has been reduced to 3? or does it mean that i just have to roll over 3 for any war engine regardless of DC?

Also the rules say that you roll for catastrophic damage on war engines. Is this right? I wondered if it should have been Critical Damage instead. It just seems very powerful.

The type simply refers to the specific War Engine – 'Baneblade' is a type, 'Warlord Titan' is a type, for instance. A Baneblade, even damaged, remains a Baneblade (starting DC3), so you will always need to roll 4 or more (i.e. more than the starting DC) to pick it up with the Lifta-Droppa.

As a result, you won't be able to use the Lifta-Droppa against a model type with a starting DC6 or more, even if it's reduced to having only DC1.

    To summarise:
    1) Check the type of the target. (e.g. Baneblade)
    2) Check what the DC of the target type is. (e.g. DC3)
    3) Roll to beat that DC (e.g. 4+)
    4) Profit!

Also the rules say that you roll for catastrophic damage on war engines. Is this right? I wondered if it should have been Critical Damage instead. It just seems very powerful.
It is very powerful, from what I remember! Check the FAQ, if you can still find it, but I think that it is correct.
