    cavalry and supporting attacks

Can cavalry make supporting attacks? I see no place where they can't, but I do miss things sometimes.

Yes. They get one attack just like infantry. Monstrous cav. get up to three just like monstrous infantry.

Bear in mind that cavalry and monstrous cavalry only make supporting attacks with the rider. The mount only fights if in base contact.

Ohh... you might just have saved me from buying two boxes of Demigryphs... Had totally forgotten about that, and counted on the second rank supporting with three attacks, like monstrous infantry (so, still losing one attack, but in 2nd round and on that would had been the riders S4 so no biggie).

Yeah, demigryphs need to stay in 1 row. I think I'm running 2x4 with a priest each at 2200. Seems to work for the mournfang even though they only get 3 for similar points.

True. Having a knight or two extra will add some durability to your unit (it has a 1+ armour save, so a few extra wounds will go a long way), but it will not add much punch.
