Trazyn the Infinite has a Primarch?

Wasn't there a story in one of the more recent WDs were he told an Ultra marine that he had one primarch and if they were not careful he would get the one in the status field too? It was one of the ones from late last year I think.

But you are forgetting one thing. The fluff is not written to be "someone says he has" or "he says he has", but it is written by an omniscient narrator who says that he in fact has the head of Sebastian Thor! It is not ingame-lore, it is defined fact. Saying that it is the head of someone else is fan-fiction at that point. Neat fan-fiction maybe, but still fan-fiction.

It's defined fact that he has 'a' head of Sebastian Thor. As someone already quoted, there are quite a number of pieces him floating around the galaxy. Similar to various saints etc. So he might very well have the real head, or he/everyone might believe he have the real head. Now I'm sure he isn't as insane to just display whatever and claim it's X, Y or Z, but whatever or not he actually does have say the real head of Sebastian Thor doesn't seem to be as important as that whoever he took it from believed it was the real head. It's taking things others treasure because he can. I doubt Trazyn particularly care about Sebastian Thor or his head, it's enough that the humans seems to do. Hence collecting cultural artefacts because he can get them, not because they actually mean anything individually to him (except maybe to show off).

Now, Trazyn facts are sort of ambiguous for a reason. That's so you can take your pick of what to believe.

Personally, I choose to think that he actually has the real head of Sebastian Thor, and the various other heads on display in shrine worlds throughout the Imperium are fakes.
I mean, sure, he doesn't actually give a damn whether it's the real deal or not, *BUT*, unlike the billions of servants of the Ecclesiarchy, Trazyn was alive (well, structurally integral and functional) during Thor's lifetime, and may have even been awake at the time. If he was in the neighborhood, it wouldn't have been too much out of the way for him to grab a genuine piece for his collection while he was there...

No. The omniscient narrator clearly says: "THE head of Sebastian Thor". Dunno how more genuine this shall get. Its not like someone in-universe claims this is the head, but someone who knows everything tells us this, so this is not just "a" head, but "the" head. The pieces of him floating around are claimed to be pieces by those who own them, not by an omniscient narrator. That's the difference. The narrator knows if the head is genuine or not and he says "the head of Sebastian Thor". He doesn't say: "a head believed to belong to" or: "a head that Trazyn claims to be..."!
We aren't even told if Trazyn even knows to whom the head belongs. Imo that would be even more funny. He has it and doesn't know what a holy (or sarcastic bad-ass) item that is.

EDIT: And Lord Damocles makes it even better point: It doesn't even say it's a Space Marine. Trazyn has Hector Rex's corpse. This is the only conclusion that the statement in the codex supports, as it says 'giant of a man' and not 'Space Marine', therefore, we now know, beyond any and all doubt, that Hector Rex must be this giant he has.

From memory the codex seems to imply that he has collections on various themes and will use things that don't quite fit in as placeholders (guardsmen in the wrong era armour) but will upgrade them for more authentic pieces when possible. So he end goal IS to have the authentic item.

So he would have something resembling Thor's head for his "heads of the imperium" collection but he would try and track down the real thing eventually?

It's exaggeration - there's nothing that says Trazyn collects fakes (at least wittingly) and several stories that have him collecting the real thing. Though...
