Coolest tank/vechicle?

Hello.
Which army do you think have the coolest tanks/vehicles? You can base your desicion on looks, firepower etc etc.

Quantity has a quality all of its own.

The Guard has a tank for anything and everything.

You want a radio control mini-tank full of explosives? Got that.
You want fast, open transports, closed transports, or a transport for a whole platoon? Got them.
You want the archetypal battle tank? Got it.
You want to flatten a city? Time for the artillery tanks.
You want to to bring down a titan or a whole squadron at once? Bring out the super heavies.
You want to take to the air? Pure transport, or gunship?
You want legs? Out walkers aren't precious relics, they're ubiquitious
You can think of something missing? The forge world of No'tt inham is sure to rediscover a pattern to fill it soon enough.

Why choose limits?

I'm partial to Dark Eldar vehicles, which seem sleek and decadent - perfectly fitting for their race.

Some Necrons vehicles have a certain appeal to them - the Doomsday Ark entertains me to no end and the Triarch Stalker is a beast.

The basic Rhino chassis appeals to me as well - Predators and Vindicators are lovely things, and the Rhino itself is simple but effective.

I'd probably rank it personally as:
1) Dark Eldar
2) Necron Doomsday Ark
3) Marine Rhino-chassis tanks

If we're counting forgeworld then the new eldar tanks are just sexy. Hornet, warp hunter, scorpions...

Baneblades rank highly imo too. they're big, but not big enough to be stupidly big.

And I'll always love predators

I've got a thing for the Malcador... probably the best looking tank imho.

I like Tau battlesuits. They're really tough compared to their relative size, and are a way of packaging a lot of power into a tiny package.

Dark Eldar skimmers have style.

Craftworld Eldar skimmers are a design classic.

Baneblades have a crushing brutalism that appeals on a primitive, atavistic level.

I love dreadnoughts in all their varied forms and incarnations.

The Exorcist is a beauty, but the baneblade's a bit cooler, but, al through not being a tank, the Razorwing Jetfighter is the most gorgeous of all GW vehicles. Like comparing a Lamborghini to a 4x4 Pick-up truck.

Hammerhead w/Railgun.

It has a sexy mix of ruggedness mixed with pur aggresion. Then when that cannon hits another tank... Well it normally does not end well for the target.

Eldar grav tanks are pretty cool, the prism especially.
DE Razorwing jetfighter, if we're counting aircraft, would rate quite highly for me.

I'm sorry but I think the landraider is probably the best all round tank for the 40k game. It has the transport capacity, firepower and general 360 all round armour protection which I think gives it the big thumbs up!

Hands down the Stormhammer. Twin turrets on a Baneblade Chassis, my only wish is for someone (I'm looking at you FW) to make a conversion kit for one.

Next best tank: The Macharius

I'm going to say the Shadowsword, because it manages to combine the demented over-the-top design which 40k is all about, while still seeming vaguely plausible.

Unlike most Imperial vehicles, it actually seems to have a suspension which would work. It justifies it's super-heavy status by mounting a huge gun (why would you build a massive tank if you only wanted to mount relatively small guns on it?) It has a good reason for having sponsons. It's roughly the shape I would expect a huge fighting vehicle to be.

Also, it's pretty awesome on the table.

The Imperial Guard's Atlas ARV.
Why? It does however look pretty cool, with that earth-anchor at the rear and the A-Frame lifting crane.
Everyone ignores it. It's armed with a heavy bolter (possibilities of a pintle-mounted stubber or bolter and an extra HK-missile), so hardly the biggest threat.
What people often forget - you can kidnap your opponent's tanks. Drag them around the battlefield.

I was certainly amused the first time I saw one a few years back when my IG opponent started dragging my Iron Hand's land raider into the middle of fire-fight...

Also put me down for FW's contemptor dreadnoughts. I really like their design, the sleek lines - looks like a bigger marine, rather than a walking shed...

Annihilation Barge all the way for me. Love it in the game, love the model, and it's got a good bit of background imho!

I just find it a really evocative piece all in. GW have openly stated they like to fit the rules to the model, and lordy did it work on that little beauty! Granted the lack of AP can be a downer now and again, but the arc more than makes up for it!
