nagash66 : Welcome aboard! I like your colour scheme.
Wow, pretty quiet this month.. Anyway, I'm going to post better (and completed) pics of my entry this month.
Hope you like 'em!
The dog on the base is dedicated to my black Labrador Retriever Les, who passed away 2 years ago. Miss you buddy!
Cheers everyone!

These are some really nice pics. Great work, kudos!
@Saulot. Very nice work! Colours all work very well together, especially like the blue.
Basing is also looking fantastic!
Thanks guys! I've settled into my blue recipe quite nicely and I find myself looking forward to paint it!![]()

Here is my shaman for month 8. He won the shaman conversion competition on the da-warpath forum. So now I'm able to post him anywhere I want :

@confessor_Atol: I like what I see, especially the aged metals.
@EmperorNorton: Crisp and clean. Very fitting for an empire army.
@Zark the Damned: That’s a lot of points! I like how the colours tie your units together. And you’ve even got a model that is on my wish list: Leonardo. I envy you.
@azhagmorglum: Nice troll and shaman. Congratulations on winning the competition. What was the price you won? (besides eternal glory).
@colonel kane trine: Nurgle is my least favourite chaos power (I also never watch horror movies). I think your ogres fit their disgusting theme, especially Skrag and the maneaters.
@ Red Skullz: Classic orcs, great. The doom diver catapult always makes me smile, thanks.
@Fabius Bile: A lot of colours, but that’s all right for a centrepiece. I’m looking forward to an army shot.
@JackDaw: beautiful, as always. I hope you will buy or make a lightbox soon. Your pictures will become much better. (You can take a cardboard box, cut the top and sides and stick tracing paper in these ‘windows’. This will soften the light. )
@perplexiti: Nice to see that you stick to your colour scheme. Although the banner could use a little more colour. Personally I think I would have painted the runes gold or made the anvil black.
@MOMUS: That’s a lot of eyes to paint. Have you decided the colours yet? I think they will look even better then.
@Morkash: That is a lot of work in one month! I like the thundertusk. Maybe the leadbelchers are a little bit too clean? You could add some soot.
@Laborious: Nice job on the Ironguts and I’m looking forward to see the firebelly.
Yes, the shadow warrior on the right side in the first photo is the Faramir ranger.
@doomscape: Potential war on your painting station with 3 armies at the same time? All 3 look great. Too bad the faces in the third picture are bit blurry, but I like the bright blue accents.
@Braad: I like it. Looking forward to see your next entry (another OOP classic?)
@Purplebeard: Bugman without a purple beard? Don’t you want a famous brewmaster in your family history?
@DAGabriel: I like it. The stone base will make him stand out next to a unit or warmachine. I hope your eyes are better now.
You are right about the sword of the shadow warrior. I will fix it, thanks for the tip.
@Gargobot: So left or right wing next mont? It is a great model, but I would like to see more.

@Loki73: congratulations!
@juicytomatoes: Nice wizard. Crisp and clean.
I hope your child is doing ok now.
@Saulot: A simple but effective colour scheme. The Pictures of the trebuchet with the scenic base are top. Just put it in the (my) display cabinet and ready.
@gogs78: I hope your eyes are better now.
@nagash66: Your dwarfs look very promising. Luckily it is almost June by now, so I don’t have to wait long for your first entry.
Owl can spell his name ("Wol") and the word "Tuesday" (so that you know it isn't Wednesday). He can also read, although only if no-one is looking over his shoulder.

Great work everyone
I'm glad to see the work still coming in.
I will be out of country so I'm going to post up June's thread now (just in case you thought I was crazy)

@Great horned owl: Cheers mate, I didn't notice when I took the pics, but it actually is a lot golder in person. The colours been washed out a lot in the photo. Although I like your idea of a black anvil, I didn't even think about doing a different colour on it, I might do that as I think it would look good.
Comments and replies:
Comments:
@Confessor_Atol (OK): I like the extensive use of reds and how you've extended it to include the ogres' skin.
@EmperorNorton (Emp): You have a lot of footsloggers there! The colour scheme is simple but striking.
@Zark the Damned (DoW): Lovely old-school figures. The yellow and black look great.
@azhagmorglum (O&G): Great troll and shaman you have there.
@colonel kane trine (OK): They look gory. The green ones are brilliant
@Red Skullz (O&G): Better late than never. The Ghazghkull Thraka conversion is a great, unique idea. Wish I'd thought of it
@Fabius Bile (OK): Looking good as always.
@JackDaw (DE): The lizardskin cloaks have come out very nicely.
@Great horned owl (HE): The shadow warriors look really good.
@perplexiti (Dw): Good metallics there.
@MOMUS (Liz): Big effort there with 957 points - well done
@Morkash (OK): Great stuff. The base on that Thundertusk must have taken a full pack of that basing material.
@Laborious (OK): Well-observed copper/brass colours. The green (oxidation?) in the recesses is a nice touch.
@doomscape (Dw): War machines - these are always a good thing.
@doomscape (DoC): Lovely horrors
@doomscape (TK): From what I can see, the tails look good, but the faces and upper bodies are out of focus
@Braad (O&G): Very nice.
@DAGabriel (CD): I like the grim and gritty colours.
@Gargobot (DoC): Maximising your character allowance - smart trick. I'm always forced to do it too because my painting is too damn slow. You could, of course, field him 'as is' as a stealth Lord of Change
@juicytomatoes (Em): Your wizard is charming.
@Saulot (Bret): Lovely figures. They are starting to look like an army now. Your bases are superb - especially with all of the attention to detail like the wandering dog and the fallen pillar.
@nagash66 (Dw): Good to see another Dwarf player. The dark red is a really strong colour.
Replies:
@perplexiti: Thanks, my contributions have trickled down to a near stop recently.
@Red Skullz: Thank you for the kind comments, though I'm not that reliable. I've been evn slower than usual recently :S
@DAGabriel: Cheers. The colour choices for the chaos champion were tough but I'm happy with him. I'm happy with the cockatrice and my colour choices, but I know that it is very much a love-or-hate model.
@azhagmorglum: Thanks.
@Laborious: Cheers- it means a lot coming from you.
@colonel kane trine: Yep - I'll have to crack on and get the Rainbow Wizard done too.
@Confessor_Atol: Thank you. I need to get a keg of doom for my Bugman
@Saulot: Ta. Yeah I love the old Chaos stuff.
@Great horned owl: Sadly not everyone can be a purple beard. Even Bugman.
I'm going to try and improve for the rest of the tale, as I know I've dropped off a lot.
Oh well, good luck to everyone else remaining in the tale!
Oh, why did you have to mention the crack! Nowadays I fill up everything that doesn't belong, but back then I hardly knew what green stuff was...
7 years is more or less the max, since I only started 8 years ago with this hobby.
Anyway, just putting all your love into a single army helps a lot in the "not too many unpainted models"-department. On a side note, my legal and painted army now sums up to a grand total 9349,5 points (no magic items), excluding several spare BSB's.
Sure, I put you in the table. Don't mind the jokers and just get down to painting some serious stuff!
Good. It's always nice to have some fresh painters around. Get yourself in gear though, there's not that much time left in this TOFP-year.
Actually, no. I'm working on some brand new stuff! Savage boyz are coming to town! I do think I have to pull a joker in june, as I've been more into building than painting, but I hope to get a unit finished by the end of the month.
As we speak, I'm working on the new table. Hopefully I can get it to Malorian soon. Just don't know when he'll be able to put it in his post.
