40K Army: Imperial Guard

I have just been amazed with how effective Executioners can be, so I wanted to try something crazy. My local meta has a lot of mechanized SM armies and the occasional horde ork army. I think this list can be very good at the 1500 level, I am open to suggestions and comments however.

HQ:

I'd say you are short on ways to open those transports, to get the marines into plasma range.

I'd lose the Vanquisher in favour of a Manticore. It's a far better tank buster, cheaper, and copes with those occasional hordes well.

With those extra 70 pts, I can see two sensible paths...
i) Trade the melta bombs and a chimera for a vendetta
or ii) split them into autocannons for some of the vets, and an autocannon sentinel.
