Re: The Tale of 40k Painters 2011-2012 MONTH 9 (APR completed work & MAY WIP)

Comments time. Sorry this has taken a while to get done.

misterboff - Nice work. Where did the helmets and shoulder pads for the boyz come from?

perplexiti - Some more good old wolfy terminators. Your army is coming along nicely. How are you going to base your models when you get around to it? If you've said it before and I've forgotten, I apologise.

Xazil - Looking good. The bane of every light (and a far few not so light) vehicles, dreadnoughts equipped like that are.

djc - I love the Shadowsword, very well done. The chaosy bits look exceptionally good on this vehicle. The flamers' colouring is nice too.

Monsterzonk - I missed seeing these beautiful black and white marines in the months you jokered. Good to see them again. Excellent, crisp work as usual.

Razormasticator - I love seeing big hordes of orkses. Everytime. Something about a well painted mob like these just makes it really easy to imagine the big green bastards charging around screaming WAAAAGH!!!
Chaos Marines Project Log - Just a click away... you know you want to...

@matt_17: No need to apologize mate, I'll be doing a stereotypical snowy base for the Wolves. Probably snow clumps over a dark brown sandy base. I'm going to do it all after the tale, as I'll be doing my Dwarfs at the same time.

Cheers. The shoulder pads and heads are all from the Boyz sprue (I got a lot of Boyz, so I got a lot of shoulder pads).

And just when I thought I'd finished my Ork army (for the time being), it looks like GW are bringing out a shiny new Ork kit next month! I might (try to) wait until I've got some more Orks to paint and save it for a future Tale...
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

Misterboff: Do it NAOW! None of this waiting for a future tale... this is warhammer 40k, we do not understand impulse control here.

I agree with Matt. I know my Ork WAAGH needs 3 such flyers.

You know what, it'll take me way over my target but I think I might have time to fit one in...

I concur, I want one of each variant eventually. I only got my White Dwarf this morning, but the general consensus so far seems to be that the Dakkajet is the most useful.
