    ... and speaking of CAP Fighters in BFG. If a single Cruiser has three fighters on CAP. do these fighters constitute a single 'wave' or squadron, or three individual Fighter 'squadrons'?

    Why ask this question? Using CAP Fighters to 'intercept' (destroy) incoming Torpedo salvos. If a torpedo salvo reaches the base of the Cruiser, are all three CAP Fighters removed or is only one removed (leaving the other two CAP Fighters to 'intercept' subsequent Torpedo salvos)?

    Is this situation presented in BFG Basic or the 2010 FAQ?

    Thanks for your input.

    Well, I found the answer to my query in the 2010 FAQ, on page 9 where it states;

    "Multiple fighters on CAP in base contact with a single ship function as independent markers in all respects and are not a wave."

    I guess this FAQ entry overrides the following statement in BFG Basic Rules, page 29, unless it's possible for fighters to be in base contact and not on CAP (?);

    Fighters in base contact with friendly ships may move with them to screen against enemy ordnance. If they do so, they cannot move in their player's ordnance phase. Multiple fighters doing so are treated as a wave.

    The FAQ then continues with;

    "When encountering blast markers, roll once per squadron marker."

    So if a cruiser with three fighters on CAP is attacked by a wave of torpedoes, the wave is destroyed and one fighter removed. The remaining two fighters on CAP are still available for "normal" CAP duties (torpedo interception, fighter/bomber interception, et al).

    For what it is worth.
