a) "Target a spot on the ground or a model within LoS and range." Explain what you feel is "not written well" or in any way unclear. Because objectively this is the clearest rule in the whole book.

b) It's used everywhere, as it should be. See what I did there? I have no clue who uses what rule anywhere. Neither do you. Any claims about what a majority does or not are insubstantial. Even if they prefer a liberal approach to rules at your place it doesn't set any precedent, and it certainly is no reason for name-calling.

c) People who ignore and implement rules at their leisure are called cheats in my neck of the woods. Call them out and establish an etiquette or consensus if you're in a group of regulars, or find a different gaming environs if the majority acts like that. This behaviour however is the exact opposite of following the rules as they are undeniably written, and has nothing to do with cannon.
