    AfterEffects?

    Anyone (very) good at AfterEffects here?

    I'm somewhat good at the basic stuff (and the lightsaber preset, I love that one), but now I have quite a difficult task.

    I have a full shot/Wide shot of a person pouring clear liquid (gasoline) from a typical red gas canister, except that there is no gas in the canister, and she's just pretending to pour. Now I have to animate the pouring liquid, and I wonder if anyone here good at AfterEffects have any tips for me, like, are there any special presets or effects that I should use, ore anything else I should know?

    A quick search on YouTube and I found a "Create Running Water" tutorial by cgswot. I imagine you can adjust this to get the effect you're looking for. Most people seem to use some effect plugins like Trapcode Particular for the particle generation paired with presets like Mr. Mercury.
