“The unreal is more powerful than the real, because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on.”
Chuck Palahniuk
I'm looking for updates to rules and models for all of the legions personally. However, as a World Eater player, I'm especially looking forward to the possibility of updated Terminator kits with different legion specific iconography and bits as well as a plastic dreadnought with the same kind of thing...
Everyone Dies. It's the final and only lasting Justice. There's no greater good than Justice; It is said correctly that law exists not for the Just but for the unjust, I bow to no one and I give service only for cause...
Luckily for me, the Word Bearers and World Eaters were big favourites of mine before the Dead Blue Clown got his hands on them. The Iron Within by Rob Sanders, however, reinvigorated my once lost interest in the Iron Warriors. I sense the Siege of Castellax by C.L Werner will only intensify it.

I voted for Word Bearers. All I am asking for in the new codex, is that they make my possessed half way as awesome on the table, as they are in the fluff.

Wow...i'm shocked to see the Black Legion in last place! Perhaps the current codex which is often referred to as "Black Legion" Codex has many sick of them? Or Abaddon's continual failures?

I think that rule-wise, the BL suffer because of lack of focus. As the 'slip of tongue' by terradax so amply demonstrates, their use of all the cults often doesn't come across as 'BL Berzerkers, Plague Marines or Noise Marines', but World Eaters, Death Guards and Emperors Children, often lead by Abbadon.
Where are the Black Legionnaires in such a warband? They might be found as a squad of suicide Termies perhaps, but most often they are not found at all. Nowadays, playing BL is almost synonymous with simply not playing a legion at all, but by playing a warband made up of other legions.
My scratch-built Stompa, Traitor Guards, Cthulhu daemons and Word Bearers and my my terrain log.
"It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means. Horror. Horror has a face... and you must make a friend of horror. Horror and moral terror are your friends. If they are not then they are enemies to be feared. They are truly enemies."
- Colonel Walter E. Kurtz
I went with Alpha Legion, as the HH books have made them so much more interesting. Previously they always seemed to just be trying to undermine the Imperium post Heresy, now I just don't know what they are up to - it could be anything!
My legion is BL. I always try and make the basis of any army I make a couple of squad of undivided CSM, backed up by a couple of cult squads and a BL-painted daemon prince. Got my furies painted up in black with pink and purple details so they fit in as undivided lesser daemons. I'm not sure BL really need much to make them more distinctive. The reason Khorne Berzerkers and Plague Marines are not called World Eaters and Death Guard is because the last two are legion names, while berzerkers and plagues are simply marines that have dedicated themselves completely to their gods, whatever their legion. They really should be painted up in BL colours, with maybe a little red/green just to make them a little distinct and more quickly recognisable on the tabletop. Problem is that all GW material has each unit painted in classic legion colours, rather than BL, so people automatically (subconciously) feel they should paint their berzerkers all red. I know I did... When I finish my BA, my Khorne Berzerkers might be the next thing I strip and repaint to better fit my BL force.
Iron Warriors ! I played my first game of 40k with them back in the days...But apart from them I'm curious to see what will they give to all iconic god dedicated chapters.
I'm not surprised that Thousand Sons are in the lead. They have been given extremely bland rules ever since 3d ed and is one of the most impressive armies on the battlefield, modelswise, it is about time they got some nice rules! They would have definitely been my second choice, after Alpha Legion!(I like my blueberries, hehe)
Just to erase all the confusion. I am Alpharius.
With that said, I'm expecting to play a deathguard thousand sons or Iron warriors army. I strongly expect those to have rules or strengths witch suits me the most.
But I'm looking forward to all of the legions.
Khorne....always Khorne!
Skulls for the Skull Throne!
In the name of Blessed Lorgar, the hosts of Colchis march!
Been collecting a host of Word Bearers for five or six years now, and almost amassed two companies. Supported by splinter warbands of the four monotheistic chaos legions, a titan of the dark mechanicum and a combined arms brigade of traitor guard and mutants.
World Eaters. The other armies thought Kharn was bad before...just wait till he is getting backed up by the real Khorne Terminators instead of these pitiful fools we have now. Blood for the Blood God!!!!!
