I'm planning to do a Slaanesh army. They will be painted pink with purple helmets and weapons. They will be the Purple Helmets of Slaanesh and will be lead by Everard, the Daemon Prince. Their warcry will be "For Everard, For Fulgrim".

I will be including a squad of Plague Marines lead by Puucarus. Puucarus has been in every Chaos army I have ever had since 2nd ed.

A a decade old Word Bearer player i would be happy with just a exclsive HQ (Dark Apostle) a Wargear Item (Accursed Crozius) and able to give my daemons any of the four marks of chaos. if they do that and more i will be over the moon.

I actually collect two different Chaos armies: World Eaters and Iron Warriors. I'm more excited about World Eaters because they need more to make them distinctive (IMHO), and more importantly viable. With IW I'll be happy with a Warsmith and the regular list, but with WE they just need more...

I've actually swayed from Legion to Legion over the years. Used to like the Alpha Legion, but their fluff has taken such a silly turn that I lost interest.

These days I think I'd go Night Lords. Though without all the stupid looking bat wings all over the place. I think the Night Lords could have a lot of character. Or at least as much character as you can give to two-dimensional mustache twirling cartoon villains like Chaos tend to be.

Either that or Heresy/Pre-Heresy White/Blue World Eaters just for the fun with modeling and Tamiya clear red.

I expected the four "cult" Legions to lead this poll, but I did not expect the sons of Magnus to be so far ahead of the others.
Also I did not think that the Alpah Legion, the Iron Warriors and the Night Lords would be this close to the big four. I wonder if the Black Library books have increased their popularity or WTH is going on.

The Black Legion and the Word Bearers are together at rock bottom ... it seems that few like the "ultramarines" of chaos!

World Eaters. They were my first army back in 2nd edition, and I would be interested in playing a power armoured army focused on assault that isn't based around jump packs (nothing against BA Jumpers - the fact that an all infantry list works in tankhammer is amazing ). Give me speedy rhinos driven by dudes who can do 180 power slides while the berserkers inside assault out the sides and back, chain axes that do something, and blood for the blood god. Of course, they will still be turn apart by Halberds in close combat, but not even the World Eaters can match the ferocity and blood lust of the Khornate Knights.

If the WE rules turn out to be crap (or they are no WE rules in the codex), I might just start the Khornate Knights project proper. I know it's been done before, but I don't care :P. Hellberds here we come!

Whats interesting is if you look under the project logs and Chaos, everything is pretty much Death Guard and Iron Warriors, with a dash of Night Lords and Word Bearers. There are nearly no Thousand Sons projects and lead the poll... hmm...

I voted for Word Bearers. as i have a small but growing army of them, but could do with more options avaliable than some shoulder pads from GW... yes you can get the FW stuff but really its not the same as having some HQ's or Eliets is it??

While Thousand Sons are my favoite Chaos legion in the fluff, it has to be Word Bearers I would want to actually play with. So I have to vote them (I want a Dark Apostle model soooo much). And I could use my Chaos Demons with them too.

there really isnt much to do with a 1kson army besides a mass of rubric. and static figures (while aweosme in fluff and how they are represented) doesnt lead to much conversion work as they are every much like pre-xmas-episode-of-doctor-who cybermen... ranks upon ranks of killy-death mania, lead by one more sentient free thinking than the rest.

and there really isnt much converions work needed for a Dp, when you can just get fateweaver model.

with the rest, you can do the customization needed to make the army look awesome.

I understand too a degree people feel there isn't as much to work with, but its the same as well every other cult atm. As well as out of hundreds of project logs 2 of the best for chaos are heavily converted TS armies. This is why I am surprised they are significantly out front. However the poll certainly shows why Chaos is complained about so much really. As mentioned by some so much diversity with ultimately pretty darn even followings all pigeon holed into one codex. I would say a lot of the heresy books also blend this issue and popularity even closer in votes/complaints.

Been some time since I've checked up on this poll. Interesting to see the World Eaters pull up to 2nd place! I'm still amazed at the love for the Thousand Sons!! In about 2 months time (and a few days) we'll have to start another poll and see what Legion players want to build once our new Codex hits the shelves!!!

I'm most curious to see how the Word Bearers will be handled now that cross codex armies are not possible anymore (like daemonhunters and witchhunters) and Chaos Daemons having their own codex (as that happened after the 3.5 CSM legions codex).
