Hi guys, I posted some photos of this project in my main 40k thread but I think it would be better with a thread of its own.
A very good friend of mine built The Predator ages ago and he actually gave it to me.
Most of the details on the tank are made from milliput, plastic card, balsa wood, jewelry chains, soft drink straws and some other bits and pieces.
The barbed wire that holds the skeleton at the front is just made out of normal wire.

The base i bought at a local trophy shop and covered with masking tape. (There will be some text at the front)
I built a mold out of plastic card for the ruined walls and just poured in a hobby plaster. (I also made some extra bits for the debris on the ground)
Its fairly easy to shape the plaster when it starts to dry on a piece of glass. I did the same with the brick works, carved them when the plaster is fairly set.
The window frames I bought at an AFV convention in Melbourne years ago and I fitted them with some really thin balsa wood on the sides (it was tricky to get the
holes for the window frames to be exact)
For the floor inside I made another mold ,fitted the "reinforcement bars" at the bottom of the mold and just poured the plaster on top of them.
After the plaster was set, I just smashed it up to fit the base.
Still a long way to go and its going very slow but i really enjoy doing it.

I do need some help though, I have no clue about the "fluff" with the death guards and its foes.
So if someone knows who they been fighting (its a dead marine on the base) and where ,I would really appreciate some info.
I'm gonna put a plaque at the front of the base with some cool writing on it.

I have loads of photos and I will post WIP shots as I go along with it.
Here are a few to start with (some of them been posted in my other log).

Close up of the front of ruin

The inside bit

Base painted before the salt and hairspray

Here it is with salt (first time i ever tried the salt technique and i think i overdid the salting :O)

after I cleaned the salt away

and last is a closeup of the tentacles, i tried so many different colors and I finally stuck with this

Thanks for looking and please don't hesitate to c&c , this is my first ever diorama so I'm sure you guys can give me some
hints and tips
