    Gargantuan's Death Guard

Figured I should start a painting blog here since I've been inspired by a lot of stuff you people make so I hope I'll give some inspiration back to the community.

This is the beginning of my Death Guard army. I've chosen a more old school feel.

First up is some regular Plague Marines. A lot of drybrushing and washes.

Here's some heavy weapons guys. They are the new recruits that hasn't yet been turned into proper Plague Marines and their task is to give fire support to the rest of the warband.
I prefer the old shoulder mounted heavy weapons. The rocket launcher is a converted heavy bazooka from Heavy Gear Blitz.

This is my home made Terminator. Took inspiration from the new Forge World terminators. I need to give it a name and some fluff. I don't like how big the new terminators are and the old ones are too small so I decided to make some myself.
It's also a lot cheaper since it's just part from regular chaos marines, greenstuff and plasticard. Here's a size comparison:

The red looks a bit weird in this picture. It's more like the heavy weapon dudes in real life.

Solid start here Garg. The greens are nicely toned and some nice use of head variations and weapons.

Nice to see another great death guard blog on its way.

Very well painted. I love the look of those marines. Are they old DG models or converted?

There's a forgeworld one, 2 vintage and 4 converted for what I can see.

    Great looking models

Fantastic work here brother, I look forward to seeing this progress! I love the vintage Plague Marines (the one with the tiny power fist is a particular favourite of mine) and you've done a great job on them. Also loving the heavy weapon conversions too!
