As was mentioned in every review of this game, it has an absolutely abysmal name, but it's a surprisingly good game. I'd recommend picking this up especially now the co-op mode has been added.

Well I've played the previous one "R.U.S.E.". But have more or less intended to skip European Escalation because of time limits and an abundance of strategy games available to me. I liked it because of the concepts for strategy, misinformation and so on, as well as the larger tactical(even strategical?) level it aimed at. But how does European Escalation compare to RUSE? What is enhanced what is different from your point of view?
The game is pretty different to RUSE, an entirely different kettle of fish, but it's also a lot more enjoyable and I'd argue more strategic.
I found ruse, for all it's much vaunted ruse system, felt a bit like a board game, this may have been intentional, but Wargame feels more like a genuine simulation of the Cold War going hot.
While it has aspects of strategy, it's the tactics that are so much fun*

*that is if you find knowing that the range of an ATGM is slightly longer than that of a challengers main cannon.
