    RIP Adam Yauch

    Adam Yauch (Beastie Boys fame) died today.

    Yup, I'm glad I saw them at a festival a few years ago. I'm sure the rest of the guys will carry on doing something but it's very sad. The Beastie Boys have always been a kind of constant to me in music. They didn't release a ton of stuff (and there's been numerous jokes about that fact) but it was always quality and always unique. RIP and condolences to family and friends.

    Beasties were always a group I wanted to see live. Yauch was a great performer, and an even better human being.

    When I was 16, we used to cruise around town in an old Toyota hatchback listening to [/i]License to Ill[/i] and Paul's Boutique on casette until the tapes broke.

    Sad news indeed. Got to see them a couple of times and meet them too. Such a nice bunch of guys. Funny, laid back and giving. So sad he is gone.
