Skaven vs Skaven

thanks again for the last advice and help.
as the title says id like some advice on skaven vs skaven how to beat my own army at around 2500pt.

Skaven have a vast variety of units, tactics, and weapons at their disposal- you are going to need to be a little more specific as to what models you have and what the enemy army is going to potentially look like-

russelmoo already nearly answered the question: What can (enemy) Skaven bring? Everything but heavily armoured stuff. What can your army bring? An answer to everything. Therefore including some tarpits, diverters, hammers, decent magic and some shooting should go a long way to help. You need to be able to deal with big blocks of slaves, MI, HPA and a Grey Seer, suck up casualties from a Doomrocket and mortars and so on. If you're into weapon teams, both WFT and mortars can be of some help.

I hate jezzails and weapon teams they never did anything for me.
further i can field everything in the army book

ENEMY

i know of only one game he played he turned the enemy wizard in to a toad for 3 rounds.
had 2x 50 slaves
clanrats with shield 40
plague mortar
5 gutters with sling and poison
and warlock with gun.

it was only a 750 pt battle

i know he likes clan pestilence but if hes building an army around it i dont know

Take a plague claw catapult and cast wither on the big blocks, could help.

Plague monks can be very helpful against light armored troops with their 3 attacks - or a big unit with speers and death frenzy!
Stormvermin with the flame banner against a HPA.
An assassin against his BSB / general?

But think of this: what is your best weapon in your army and how would you counter it? And how can you try to counter his counterattacks?

Well, some general thoughts-

Take the auto includes like HPA, grey seer, and some blocks of slaves- rat ogres should do well in this situation- lots of 2+ to wound rolls, not to mention you don't have to worry about anything having a high weapon skill, so rogres become more solid- (just think against slaves you will hit on 3's and wound on 2's)

Other than that- don't take D13th- it is not very useful against skaven (doesn't kill enough) whereas plague will remove half of a unit, possibly half of several units- protect your own flanks and go after his-
