    Mcfishstick's Empire

Hi. lol. Behold the humble beginnings of this great host. Until now people have been convinced that the province of Nordland has been under the rule of some Count or another. This is pure fabrication, a web of lies and deceit manufactured by Countess Valeria. Also Nordland's uniforms have always been mistakenly referred to as blue and yellow. That's also a lie.

Countess Valeria is a sorceress of immeasurable skill. Eventually she will take to the battlefield, but for now we must be content with her daughters and a bunch of archers.

The Countess also has a soft spot for animals and goblins/gnoblars. So expect a few of those.

First off, the archer detachment in progress. They are built from Bretonnian/Empire archers. I love mixing bits from different boxes

    Partially assembled halberdiers...

    The doctor treating wounded halberdiers...

    The one-armed ogre mercenary...

A Priestess of Morr/Sorceress of Death

And here is a diorama-esque scene for the archer unit. A poor gnoblar hunter accompanying the archers decided to emulate their success, as they have caught birds and the like. He set his trap to catch a ferret and... Got caught in it. Note the ferret watching him.

Here is the Countess's daughter. She bears the province's runefang and is deadly in combat. People suspect she is a vampire but the Countess' special witch hunters quell any such suggestions

    One last post.

Behold the master engineer, the mad, certifiably insane Otto. He always wanted to ride a unicorn from the nearby Lorerlorn forest, but since he coule never find any he did want any good engineer does. He made his own, a mechanical unicorn to propel him into battle while he launches explosive pigeons from a hand-held mortar. I told you he was mad.

This is one of the Countess' children, a priestess of Morr or a sorceress of death. She's not sure, and neither am I lol.

And finally, another insane member of the army. A wizard of life. At first I thought his legs looked daft, but after a while I found it hilarious how he looks so mad, legs wide open and no hands near the reins. I think its hilarious, so that's how he has stayed lol.

Archers! They're ready to trudge through the snowy landscape.
They're built from a mix of Bretonnian and Empire archers. The dog is from the Bretonnian archers, the kneeling legs from the empire archers. And the gnoblar is their mascot. lol.

And here is the gnoblar/ferret mini diorama. Ferret is from Reaper miniatures.

    And the group shot...

The engineers weapon is just amazing! Both unit fillers are absolutely great too!
I'm sure this is going to be a great army.

Could I ask you something: Is Mcfishstick a real name?
"What a strange expression said the herbalist who would compare themselves to chopped liver in the first place? If you have to to choose an organ why not pick a gallbladder or a thymus gland instead? Much more interesting than a liver. Or what about chopped t-”

Very cool conversions. I really like the "doctor" and your choice of colours. This will be a great army!

lol! No, its not a real name. Just one of those eccentric usernames that emerges when you madly try to think of something that is not taken... But imagining a kilt-wearing scot whose name is mcfishstick and he swings a giant cod around like a weapon... lol. Glad you like the unit fillers and the wacky weapon. More will follow

The 'doctor' was created last second when I saw the bretonnian archer standard and imagined it as a plague doctor style mask, like in the renaissance Italy Assassin's Creed games. .

    Progress on the handgunners.

    Close ups.

The converted and completed mad wizard. He seems to have an obsession with griffons.
