Leman Russ tank for Space Wolves?

Ok here's a question I'm really, really interested in knowing the answer to. In the older Space Wolf codex you could take a Leman Russ tank. In the current codex there is no option. So my question is are there any alternative rules that would allow me to take one? Thanks.

Agree with this if you're looking for something "official". I would also point out that, at least since 3rd edition, it was a Leman Russ Annihilator that was allowed. No Battle Cannons for Marines.

Edit: Although not "official" anymore you could "custom build" a Leman Russ tank with the old Vehicle Design Rules. Most of the stuff constructed with it cost more than an equivalent "Codex" vehicle so that might make an opponent more comfortable playing against it. Although there were exceptions...my favorite was my construction the "Predator Russ"...basically a predator tank with a Leman Russ turret (or just a battle cannon), which actually cost less than a Predator Annihilator, at least at the time.

No, there's a Leman Russ Annihilator pattern out there too; TL lascannon in the turret just lke the predator variant.
As for the "thindex" and it's LR, that was a fluff abomination and should never have happened; it's only achieved the status it has because that old book was almost as old as the Dark Eldar book by the time it was replaced (for contrast, remember that there were two whole editions (and two space marine codices) in that time).

You could always just use the model and pretend that it's a Predator Destructor.

D'oh that's what I get for not checking my sources when posting... I had the correct unit in mind, just not the right name.

While it might be a bit confusing you could go with Lord Damocles' suggestion and use it as a Predator Destructor.

Indeed, I have a Leman Russ Exterminator for my Space Wolves and love it, but sadly I must downgrade it to a Predator with heavy bolter sponsons or break it out as is in Apocalypse. I do however use it extensively in my Guard army. I have been tempted to add Pask as Space Wolf crew in my Guard lists, but I usually don't. Only as the Space Wolf Apocalypse version is Pask taken as it is the only thing out of the Guard book I tend to add to Grimnar's Great Company.
