Mantic 6mm/10mm game?

There was mention on both here, mantic's forum and in one or two other places that it was rumored that mantic would be involved in some smaller scale stuff. I was just wondering what became of these rumors? As the thread discussing it seemed to dry up on Mantics. Or is this just Hersey from people playing KoW in smaller scale (which if I read it right, works nicely as KoW runs on units instead of individual models, correct?)

Im getting heavily back into Epic as of late, and been looking at other smaller scale's- leaving the 28mm stuff to collect dust, until I feel like painting the odd model. I have been looking for a reason to order some mantic stuff but not really found a good excuse, as a)no one I know plays and b)it would collect dust like the rest of my 28mm stuff!

But if they were to introduce smaller scale games and minis I would be handing over my (well, my misses!) credit card and telling them to keep sending stuff till they ran out!

Hoping someone has some more news or at least some current closer on this, just so I can stop searching the forums for something they may not exist!

It would be very stupid of them if they did. They weren't even keeping up with their first line before they moved onto a second. Adding a third or fourth would be ridiculous.

If you're wanting to buy them, look at other manufacturers.

I don't think it was ever actually a rumour - I think it was just wishful thinking by some individuals.

I started the small scale rumour in our Twelve Tweets of Christmas Competition. We ran 12 tweets and asked the public to guess whether they were true or whether they were false. The small-scale game seemed to catch some people's imaginations but was inevitably false, which was only just edged out by the My Little Pony game. Can't believe we didn't take them up on that license.

But of course kow does easily scale to something like 15mm if you want. Just switch to cm for range and movement.

Some 6/10mm fantasy or sci-fi plastics would be very cool indeed. Plastics seems to be very rare in this scale, outside of historical ofc.

If it happens, I agree that it should wait for 5 or so years while Mantic produces things of much greater importance, such as the My Little Pony game.

I don't know why they have looked at 15mm plastic seriously - seems to be a market for it

Actually Kings of War already works perfectly well with smaller scale miniatures. Check out the post in this very forum where someone plays it with their Warmaster collection.

There are plenty of 6/10/15mm fantasy manufacturers out there and it’s surprisingly cheap to collect.
