    Nightmare Shroud x 2

If one unit has 2 Nightmare Shrouds does the target take 2 morale test?

As I read it, the Shroud is basically a different kind of shooting attack, with each one's attacks resolved seperately. Therefore, I see no reason why the target unit wouldn't take 2 tests. Of course, if they fail the first one, the second is moot.

Not necessarily. If it follows normal rules for morale tests, then the unit automatically fails if it takes one while falling back. So you could get the unit 2d6 closer to the edge if you needed.

*Edit* You would probably only take one test due to everything the squad shoots happens simultaneously, but if you had 2 sources...

1222. It's a stranglehold. Not an Ogryn neck pinch.
1395. Eldar really hate it when you greet them with "Live long and prosper".
1537. My Rogue Trader does not need to announce his arrival with eight hours of orbital bombardment.
1572. The Navigator has Warp Sight. Not Insane-o-Vision.
1594. Flak armor is not just a muscle shirt with the word "ARMOR" stenciled on it.

But then again, all shooting from a single unit is simultaneous.

Also, wouldn't the fall back move occur at the end of the current phase (in this case the Shooting phase)?

No, the test is taken 'immediately' Necron Codex pg.84
"Do you use the number on the bottom of the die to determine your rolls? Because the book doesn't discuss that the top is the correct side to read, either. Some things are just THAT obvious."

Huh. I guess you would take both tests simultaneously, and either pass both, fail one and fall back, or fail both and fall back twice as much. 5th edition is weird sometimes.

Serves me right for going off of memory. Indeed, the fall back move is made immediately. However, I'm not sure failing both would cause a "double" fall back move. It would be like having someone die twice for failing an armor save. Sadly, I cannot come up with a strong RAW case against it, so I won't push it -- just feels wrong to me; which, I know, has no place in the rules forum

Or it could be treated like pinning weapons with only one test.
Hard to say, but the RAW calls for a test for each.
