folketsfiende: Sorry for not having posted anything yet, I totally forgot when I was at the post office last week (even though I had your envelope in my pocket).
Will try to get it sent this week. Keep up the good work - reinforcements (that only me and Jes G. have had access to) are on their way
Please help out with suggestions in my Adeptus Arbites repaint log:

Terrain: Apocalyptic Manhattan in an apartment, Bridges over Troubled Water, Forbidden CityKendoka: Would adding solar panels on the roof be to Tauish??
Kriegschmidt: Solar panels?! Heresy! This is the Imperium - we need massive, inefficient, smoke-belching power plants that burn fossil fuels, trees and whole species of animals and turn idyllic (heretical) havens into polluted, diseased, catalogued deathworlds!
Miniatures: www.kendoka.com = Tyranids
Some reinforcements! Since I used IG Veterans and Infantry Squads as the base for my Arbites-rules, it was important for me to have ten members for the patrol and combat teams. Therefore I bought yet another box of Enforcers, and now I've painted and based them...

Looking nice (although I would have painted the front thigh and lower arm armour in a different colour from the regular clothing).
Could you please provide a list of colours used?

Yeah, I thought about doing that, but wanting to speed the painting process up a bit (got so many projects lined up after this one...) I figured that the armour you mentioned was actually plasteel sewn into the clothing - weak excuse, I know, I know, it's just that I'm a very lazy man...
The grey is just Dawnstone with a wash of Devlan Mud. The red is a heavy drybrush of Scab Red, followed by a lighter drybrush of Vallejo Red. The green is Vallejo American Camo Green (if I remember the name correctly) followed by first a drybrush of Goblin Green, then a lighter one of Vallejo Foundation White. The holsters and pouches: Vallejo Green Ochre, a drybrush of Bleached Bone, and a wash of Devlan Mud.
Three Armoured Sentinels with autocannon and hunter-killer missile finished, waiting to get their bases done.
Left to paint: a group of watchmen, two heavy weapon tanks and a land speeder! Slowly getting there...
Good looking Sentinels there! AC's + HK's = dead transports.![]()

I've been considering starting an arbites army myself, and been thinking about the rules. Have you ever tryed proxing your army as space marine scouts or imperial guard 'counts as'?
To make it really futuristic looking, (if i ever start it) i was considering getting a stormtalon. I think it will make a really cinematic addition. Did you ever considered this?

As for "counts-as", I've never liked the "Marines as Arbites" as the Strength/Toughness disparity has always bothered me. My opinioin is that the best way to represent the Arbites from among the current "legal" rules (i.e. for tournaments and such) is to use the IG codex allied with the GK codex with Coteaz providing Henchmen units as Troops. (Which codex you choose as the Primary Detachment and which is used as the Allied Detachment really falls down to what you want to include in your army.)
Here are my choices for what to use as a proxy for what:
HQ
GK Coteaz - Judge
GK Ordo Inquisitor - Arbitor General
IG Command Squad - Judge's Personal Staff (load up on specialists), Executioner Team (load up on special weapons)
IG Primaris Psyker - Arbites Psyker
ELITES
Nothing really fits here from GK Codex
IG Stormtroopers - SWAT Team
IG Ratlings/Ogryn - Abhuman Auxiliaries (the Arbites can "commandeer" troops, though to a lesser extent that Inquisitors)
IG Guardsman Marbo - Arbites Detective
TROOPS
GK Henchmen Warbands:
Warrior Acolytes - Arbitrators (Carapace, Various Weapons)
Crusaders - Arbitrators w/ Power Mauls & Suppression Shields
Arco-Flagellants - Cyber-Mastiffs
IG Veteran Squad - Arbites Patrol Team (Shotguns & Carapace)
IG Infantry Platoons - PDF Platoons
IG Penal Legion - Um...Penal Legion? (Rogue Trader era Arbites led them)
FAST ATTACK
GK Stormraven - Arbites Eagle Shuttle (as seen in "Execution Hour" by Gordon Rennie)
IG Sentinels - Arbites Sentinels
IG Hellhounds - Arbites Castigators
IG Valkyrie/Vendetta - A different option for the Eagle Shuttle
HEAVY SUPPORT
GK Purgation Squad - Another possible option for Executioners - arm them w/ Psycannons or Incinerators
GK Dreadnoght - Arbites Heavy Combat Mech (ED209 from Robocop? )
GK Land Raider - "Mobile Precinct Fortress" - this one is highly controversial though...
IG Leman Russ - Arbites Leman Russ (they are mentioned as using them in at least one BL tale)
Other IG Heavy Vehicles - There might be some justification, but the heavy artillery is probably overkill

A little OT, but just to show you what I've been painting this weekend. Being a sucker for Flyers in 40K (even before 6th ed buffed them insanely) the new Forgeworld Avenger Strike Fighter was naturally a must have. When I got hold of the rules and saw that it was meant for Imperial Guard and Sisters of Battle, my two main armies, I was even more excited. I bought one as soon as I could, and started painting. The (perhaps strange) colour combo is meant to reflect that it will see usage in two different armies. I attached some SoB details and two Missile launchers (for a grand total of two Missile launchers, one Avenger Bolt Cannon, two Lascannons and one Heavy stubber!).
The impressive weaponry as seen when standing in the arc of fire:

That Avenger is awesome - so much so that I can forgive you for getting my hopes up for another Arbites-related update and then dashing it with a mostly OT post...I really dig the SOB icononography - it fits really well.
I hope you'll forgive me if I go OT too... Ever since I saw the rules for the Avenger, I've been dreaming of modelling one up to resemble the greatest aircraft ever to take to the skies - the A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog". (Since obviously, the Avenger is based on this beauty - even taking its name from the name of the "Avenger Gatling cannon" carried by the A-10). Of course, since I will need to put a rear-facing turret on it to fully represent the Avenger's rules, it might end up more resembling a Cobra Rattler... I might just run with that, relocating the engines to the wings like the Avenger to facilitate a better sight-line for the rear turret.![]()
