    Army leaders

I have a game coming up tuesday, 2875 points. Normal building with 1 restriction, you have to use the over all army leader (with the exception of dwarves, I guess you need to play a 3200+ game?). Looking at the armies I'm thinking over, just who is the head guy in a daemons book if you had to pick?
How about tomb kings? I know settra is THE king, but there is also the high heirophant, and khalalia (I know I spelled that wrong, the asp queen).
    Beastmen?
There are just 4 of us playing, drawing straws to see who we play against, I know the empire player has to run Karl Franz, the lizard player was haveing to decide between Kroak and Mazduni (the Slaan on the stegadon), the Orc and Goblins player had chosen Grom (if he can show up) and our Bret player the king.

It really depends on who's asking.

But general stereotypical 'head guy' for Beastmen would probably be Gorthor
Deamons would be any of the Greater Deamons (or if you have the rules Be'lakor)
    TK defiantly Settra

Some armies are a little harder to place, Skaven for example have clan leaders, O&G depending on what army and time period (but Gorbad would be my choice)

But the rest are pretty straight forward

For daemons, It would have to be dependant on the God that your army is most dedicated to (skarbrand, ku'gath and kairos for khorne, nurgle and tzeentch respectively, with slaanesh only having a keeper of secrets as theirs).

Tk is settra without a doubt (Remeber, last edition he HAD to be the army heirophant and is generally known as the Priest King) unless you're making an army during the reign of Nagash, in which Arkahn would be the best bet.

Beasts depends on the time period based in. I don't know the beasts background terribly well, but I think an older army would have to be Gorthor while a more recent army would be Kazhrak (You might want to check this for yourself).
Apologies in advance if any of my post appear to have words missing letters, my keyboard is faulty and I refuse to get another one.
After reading Valkia's book, I've come to this conclusion: Vakia is a strong, independant consort of Khorne, who don't need no mortal man to bring her down.

Lizardmen could use Kroq-Gar as their leader...

TKs i would agree Settra is the King, but Khatep or Arkahn could work just aswell depending on what exact time period you are talking about.

For Skaven in this case, I'd say that Thanquol is the "leader" in terms of the army book (He's the first choice listed in the Lords section, and a lot of the fluff from Skaven revolves around his antics). However, if youw ere playing a Clan Pestilens army, it'd be Lord Skrolk.

A lot of armies don't have an overal leader in their army books. Some are very obvious like Karl Franz or the dark elf witch king. Many others don't even have a single leader in the fluff, never mind the army book. Skaven are ruled by the council of thirteen for instance, you couldn't point out a single overall leader if you wanted to. Quite often there is a character that has been a major protagonist or antagonist throughout that race's history in the game though. Thanquol for instance has been a very major player for skaven throughout the history of the game.

I'd say it's pretty open to interpretation for the ones that don't simply have a king, high king, witch king, phoenix king and so on.

Thanquol is the closest thing to an overarching leader in terms of what is written in the book, yes. In truth he is definitely definitely not their leader. There isn't one at all. Skaven society is not unified.
For VC I'd say Mannfred. Vlad is definitely dead, while Mannfred "may" be alive and was better anyway.

For the Skaven, I'd be inclined to go for Queek Headtaker for a "secular" army, or Ikit Claw or Lord Skrolk for "clan" armies (I guess Nurglitch isn't a special character any more?) Thanquol is entertaining and famous, but not all that high up in the Skaven hierarchy. In the most recent of his novels he found himself subordinate to both Queek and the Claw.

With the vampires it'll depend on bloodline, but Mannfred for the von Carsteins, definitely. I don't think the Strigoi have ever had any special characters, though, and I don't know if the BDs or Necrarchs still do.

I would go with Mazdamundi over Kroak for the Lizards. Kroak is more powerful, but he's also dead: Mazdamundi is the one actually running things. Grom seems like a good bet in the absence of Morglum Necksnapper, but if you're willing to bend the rules of time then Gorbad would take precedence.
