New to 40K New Army List

40K Army: Space Marines

I've played one game and then I had to take a long break. I am playing with Blood Angels Codex and am looking at a 2000 point army. Here is what I have.

I had 150 points left over so I added the 3 bikes with MM. I want this army to hit fast and hard I figure I can do that with this. Any suggestions???

Yup... pretty good. A well-rounded, balanced list.

My main quibble is with Lemartes. You realize that he has a jump-pack, right? Also, that he has 'extra' abilities like Fury Unbound that are kind of pointless and costs 50% more than a regular Chaplain. I'd stick with the Elite version to save points. If you really want to, spring for a Reclusiarch for the extra W and A. I think you'll find that the Chaplain is sufficient to make the squad work well, and the Reclusiarch still far better value than Lemartes.

Thus saving 50 points, I'd drop one of the attack bikes, swap razor-squad fists for meltas and pick up another 5-man Assault squad with flamer and HF-razor. Alternatively, keep the third attack bike, do the other two changes and pick up a budget scout squad to camp with devs on an objective. Last alternative would be to just double down on the DC, sinking 80 more points into them for a full squad of ten (or nine + power-weapon/PF).

I made the changes to the chaplain and the PF off the razor squads. I wanted to go with the scout squad but I am at 70 points instead of 75. Hah. What do you suggest to get 5 more points?

You're actually at 60 points: you've undercosted your DC by ten.

I'd drop the Raven's hurricane bolters... don't add a tonne of shooting for the price of two marines. This gives you exactly enough for 5 scouts with camo.

I really like the hurricane bolters on the storm raven. Move 12" fire the assault cannon and hurricane at some troops and pop off a cheaky MM shot with the machine spirit. If your only looking for 15 points I'd drop the power weapon on the priest. 90 points on a 1 wound IC is a lot.
