    Cheers mate!

I am also happy with the bases, the necromancer came with a smaller base so I had to chose a bigger one. The one I took worked well because I could get the spot colour red in on another place on the model.

    GLORY TO SLAANESH!

    Greetings my friends! Update time.

    This morning.

    Tonight!

This is in my humble opinion one of the absolutely coolest models ever made. I have had it several years actually, even bought it back when I only was playing Bretonnia, just for the coolness of it. I thought of letting his name be Jezal The Magnificent.

Btw I just ordered Dark Vengeance! Looking forward to kitbashing the 40K models with my Fantasy ones .

Also: I didn't use all the colours that are lined in the first photo, just thought it made a cool photo .

I really like your painting style. The green and red armour seems to be very well done. Would it be possible to post bigger pics? More zoomed in?

    I second that.
I especially love the knights . That green color works so well!
Looking forward to see what you make of the new 40k set... Also , do you know of some one documenting a log of those new models on here some here? would like to follow that

Edit: that knight riding the chesty snake is also awesome forgot to mention

Thank you gentlemen for your kind words! It warms my heart!

I'll try to get more shots at the knights when I have good lightning. Also I have 5 more to paint (also scions of Nurgle). I really like to paint the dirty worn down look of Nurgle warriors.

    Next up is a Giant!

Re: A Time of Slaughter and Madness

These are really, really good! Warriors of chaos is a great army in my opinion, fun play against (as long as there isn't a bunch of 1+ 3++ sorcerers of filth flying around).

My favourite theme is marauder heavy armies, so I'm glad to see that approach taken. Looking forward to seeing this one develop.

I'm glad I was reminded of this thread. I've been thinking about that green color on the knights, and wanted to ask for the recipe (!) but I forgot where I saw it
Also ... Did you get started on the new 40k box? And are you documenting it ?
I recently got the box as well for my birthday - It would be nice to see what you've made of those models! (I'm struggling a bit with choice of colors)

Re: A Time of Slaughter and Madness

Sadly the details on the horns isn't visible.

Toshiro: Thanks alot! I agree, I try to make my lists based on what unit looks cool and to match my background more than powerbuilds.

LocaLicious: Haven't started with the 40k box yet unfortunately! I have, however, a recipe for you!

    Nurgle armour!

As the above picture suggests the main ingredients are Knarloc Green and Nurgling Green.

Basecoat with Knarloc Green-> Highlight with a mix of Knarloc Green and Nurgling Green, don't remember the ratio. This is followed by a wash of 50/50 green and black wash. A wash of Devlan Mud is added after that. On some areas another wash of green can be useful.

Re: A Time of Slaughter and Madness

    Cool, thanks
And all the washes (including Devlan) are ... how do I say it .. all over the armor - or only in the line between the armor plate and the frame around it?
I'm getting the nurgling green asap to try it out!
    ty!

(Edit: I'm going to use the recipe on the Chosen from the new 40k box - I hope the armor areas are not too small for this recipe.. I guess I'll have to try)

I really like the vibe from the Marauder Horsemen. The different coloured shields really give them an added personality. LOVE the headswap on the sorceror. Fits him perfectly. His base suits him too. I really like your painting style. Keep up!
