    Warhmmer Doubles weekend

So we went on the weekend and had a cracking time.

as a result we have decided to go in November and i have also created a website that will track our progress and also explain the battles we have played. We took lots of pictures so you can see some of the games.
    http://warhammerdoublesadventure.yolasite.com/

This site will have a lot more added over the week....so keep an eye out.

    Did anyone else attend??

Where you the ones with the Ogres' bloody stone?

First, what terrain rules did you use for that THING?

Second, Which where your secondary missions?

Third, do you have close pics of your models?

(Seriously, I got in love with that Ogre terrain)

yes that was us.....the one side was ork tusks and the other side was ogre maw. Our whole army had their right hand dipped in blood from the terrain.

I will get some close ups for you on he site this week!

Missions wise we tried a few.

Terrain was an arcane ruins. Just wait till you see the november doubles terrain.

    what were you playing?

Unfortunately, i'm a little too far from England to go there.

Just looked at the event rules and the Warhammer World facebook's gallery with the terrain pieces.

And found yours among those (arachnarok in the cave was also gorgeous).

I wish spanish events were like those you have. Here we only have the "ETC rulz" fever, mixed with a huge amount of unpainted armies.

    unpainted armies at a tourney...poor!

I'd be happy to send you out the pack of mission cards, you could always set up your own touney!

save up and come over in november you'll have a blast.

Looking forwards to seeing some of the battle reports. Which armies did you play against? Was going to go down myself but couldn't get the time off. Going to book time for November though.

    Re: Warhmmer Doubles weekend

I was there, first one I'd been to, we were playing Vampire Counts & Ogres, 4 wins and a loss, 40th place, did rather badly with our secret missions, incuding a rather epic fail by yours truly in our final game, winds of death through 2 units of chaos warriors, not killing enough to stop them contesting a table quarter and then hitting my partners unit of 2 ironguts and a tyrant, killing off an irongut and stopping us from holding that table quarter

All in all, a really enjoyable weekend, will hopefully be going down for the November one also.

Oh that's a bad job. I lent my Dark Elves to some friends to take down in my place, they pulled off 3 wins and 2 losses and managed 39th place :P

Congrats on the best team score. Now THATS what it's all about. Might come up in November just to enjoy watching. Love everything about the doubles but never been.

    Thanks harry,

    It was a good crack....

We like to create stories within the games that make things interesting. If your 3mm out on a charge, but it would make a climactic ending, we allow it. We had everything from a 6 unit ork on orc smash up, to a noble HE lord making a last stand against 40 savage orcs (this came down to a ld 8 roll to finish the game).

I was there, for my first time at Warhammer World, and a rare foray into Fantasy.

Ogres and Warriors, we kicked butt in game one, killing everything without losing a unit.

Then we lost four games miserably.

Oh well, got back to Plymouth by 6pm at least!

    Re: Warhmmer Doubles weekend

The Reapers went up: 4 hoary old vets and 6 tournament virgins. I was using Tzeentch daemons alongside Tzeentch warriors - strangely we stomped armies that we thought would give us trouble and didn't do too well against the ones we usually do ok against. Still, 3 wins, a draw and a loss ain't bad.
Thinking about the november dubs too....
