    Outflanking Tervigon and Spawning

    Hi all,

This came up in a game last week. Say I have a Tervigon (as a Troops choice due to having a brood of Termagants) that is outflanking thanks to my Hive Tyrant's Hive Commander ability.

So, it is coming in from reserves say on the 2nd turn. Since you have to spawn before moving the Tervigon, which needs to move 6" onto the table first, am I correct in thinking that the Tervigon won't be able to Spawn this turn (and will have to Spawn in turn 3)? Or could you say 'imagine' the Tervigon to be on a point right off the table where it will enter, and have a unit of Spawned Termagants appear within 6" from that point, before the Tervigon moves onto the table?

Would it even be a good idea to Outflank a Tervigon?

    Thanks

AFAIK You are correct in your assumption that you wouldn't be able to spawn any termagants.
Basically, because reserves HAVE to move on from the board edge when outflanking (or count as destroyed) then you miss the chance to spawn.

    Two wrongs don't make a right...but 3 lefts do.

Overlord Krycis is correct, you can only spawn those bugs if the Tervigon was already on the playing field before you move your models.
