    Necron Special Character Question

Regarding Nemesor Zahndrek and Vargard Obyron

Does the Vargard's Duty Rule activate if Obyron is in reserve awaiting Deepstrike when Zahndrek is assaulted, meaning he automatically appears in Zahndrek's combat?

If yes, what happens to the unit he was attached to when it becomes available, does it just walk on since it no longer has a veil of Darkness to DS with?

Usually rules don't work when the models are out of play, except when stated in those rules.

As above. Obyron has to be in play.

    Re: Necron Special Character Question

I would say no until FAQed otherwise. Though I could see a precident in that he can be pulled from other obscure places like buildings and vehicles. Reguarding part 2 of the question, the unit with Obyron in reserves is just in reserves. You can not declair them as deep striking when puting them in reserves as they do not have Deep Strike. This however does not stop you from Deep Striking when they become availabe to deploy. So yes if Obyron does somehow leave the unit before it deploys then they walk on like normal.
I'll think of something appropriate soon enough to put here.
