Plenty of people know that Game of Thrones is based on a series of books, of which i've read two so far. I like the setting as it does away with the generic setting of orcs and elves and manages to make intrigue and the like sound fun with a minimal amount of violence actually described. However this RP will look to mix it up a bit and to have a bit more in the way of violence aslong as with intrigue.
Story
Geoffrey Lannister still resides on the Iron Throne with Robb Stark and Stannis Baratheon on their way to Kings Landing to take the Iron Throne from him. In the North Theon Greyjoy has taken Winterfell and is currently hunting after the recently escaped Bran and Rickon Stark. The fate of Westeros will be decided in the coming weeks but yet there are still those who pay no heed to the person sitting upon the Throne. A few individuals have sought to benefit from the uproar whether it is looting, pillaging and other more unmentionable things.
You are all convicts from various corners of Westeros, recently residing in the unpleasant prisons of Kings Landing. Each of you has been sentenced to death for a variety of crimes and during a riot have managed to escape with all your possessions. You are currently using the distraction of the riot to try and get out of the city.
Rules
-The world of Westeros is a dark place and a pretty fair representation of the brutality that existed in the Middle Ages. This means that posts are likely to get graphic in terms of violence and as such younger people should avoid joining.
-The canon of the game will be right up until the escape of the Stark boys from Theon. Everything afterwards will follow a new path.
-The story above is short for a reason. I am relying on people having atleast knowledge of the show and more importantly, I want most of what happens to be a suprise. The title itself gives an idea as to what the overall goal is but what happens in between will be a suprise.
-There is no real limit on the number of players although I plan on running this even if there is only a few.
-There will be the possibility to join once the story has started but how that happens will vary dependent on where we are.
-Most importantly, characters will not be invincible. I will be taking certain privilages with your characters and their safety so expect some wounds.
-No character will be killed unless you PM me to say you are happy for me to do so. The method of death will be my own choice and you are more than welcome to rejoin with another character if you so wish.
-The character creation process is a bit long and detailed but that is just to give everyone an overall idea of everyone characters and allows me to create situations in which certain characters will struggle

House: Not everyone needs to be part of a house, better if people don't, but the option is there. Please stick to minor houses and if you feel like it create your own. Include your own sigil, words and allegiance to major if you do
