    Plague Cart Questions

I'm thinking about starting mordhiem as the carnival and I have a couple of questions about the plague cart. The first, is does it follow all the rules for a wagon in the empire in flames suplement (I assume so as the warband list is from the same supplement) and if it does follow these rules, what do I do if an attack hits the driver, as the cart guardian doesn't have a wounds characteristic.
    Armies I play:
    Ogre kingdoms
    Zombie pirates
    Skaven
    Slayers

...yes it does. ...and...transfers to wounding the Cart, he is a part of the cart and the cart is a part of him.

You have to read the part of the description that describes the Rider as "part of the Plague Cart...he is physically bonded to the cart in some twisted nightmare of flesh and wood."

uh-huh... and which part of the cart would you say it hits? So would I just re-roll? The description also says the rider cannot be injured, so I could just as easily say the hit is discounted couldn't I?

    Re: Plague Cart Questions

The chassis. The rider comes as a part of the wagon. He isn't a separate entity...a crew member of the wagon, he is the wagon and not a shield/void if hit per the random location chart. So the damage would go to the chassis/wagon, "In addition, as he is part of the Cart he cannot be injured unless the Cart is destroyed in which case so is he." (EinFGW) So, he can not be targeted as a individual model...because he IS the part of the main model.

Due to the special nature of the Carnival Wagon you can make Draft creature a 1- 3 or conversely make chassis a 3-5. Thats up to you and your group. Also, its a Large Target and that is the reason we have adopted the rule that the chassis is hit on a roll of 3-5.

We've always played it that the "crew" and the chassis are hit on a 3-5 of the Location chart.

Unless of course there are actual crew riding in the cart, good idea Alright, I'll just have hits on the rider hit the chassis instead, thanks.
