    Herald of Oblivion

    Hay

So I got a preview catalogue from my local GW. Herald of Oblivion (A game book similar to Hive if the dead) is scheduled to come out in July and its not on the Black Library website nor any of the release schedules. Dose anybody have any information about this?

Hears what the preview says: You are a veteran Space Marine of the Imperial Fists chapter. Equipped with powerful Terminator armour and armed with the deadliest weapons that the Adeptus Astartes wield, you are a symbol of the Emperor's might. Trapped aboard the space hulk Herald of Oblivion and the only survivor of your squad, you must fight your way through the aliens and heretics that infest the star vessel and find a way to escape the horror and return to your chapter.

    SWEEEEEEET!
I do not fight with my brothers for the warmaster fell to the blade of chaos. those who fight in its name will fall. FOR THE WARMASTER

I believe this is written by Jonathan Green (Iron Hands, the Armageddon Black Templar novels).

    Indeed it is.

    Hello all.

You can find out more about the book via my website.

I should be released this July, when it will be listed on the Direct Exclusives page of the Black Library website.

If you want to know anything else, just ask. :-)

Cheers, Jon. Question: Any chance we'll see any more Iron Hands from you?
I am currently looking to shift a sizeable amount of Chaos Space Marine models, including Dark Vengeance Cultists/Chosen/Helbrute/Lord, Fantasy Chaos Knights, a Dark Apostle, Fantasy (Finecast) Chaos Lord, Warp Talons, Possessed and painted models with Forge World parts. Send me a message if you're interested!

Seriously, if you're such a **** that you need a Chaos god to back you up in any fight you enter you deserve to get murdered. Real men do it by force of their own badass. And don't even get me started on those weak-ass mother **** psyker witch losers.

Never say never, although if I do write more Iron Hands, it probably won't be in the form of a novel.

Here's hoping. As an aside, Iron Hands was the first Black Library novel that I ever read and, funnily enough, the Iron Hands (along with the Black Templars) and Word Bearers are my favourite groups of space marines to this day!

    Thanks, Jon.

    Re: Herald of Oblivion

I have ordered the book- and I am looking forward to this. When I was a kid I loved these kinds of books.
I also like the background of the book- Space Marine stuck on a Space Hulk. 2 of my favorite BL short stories
are about Space Marines exploring a Space Hulk (Heart of Rage+ Accursed Eternity).
Although I have to say- I am not the biggest fan of the Imperial Fists...but you cant get everything.
Will write a review about what I think!

Well, as I understand it, there are a fair few people who feel the same way you do about the Imperial Fists. Let's see if HERALD OF OBLIVION can't go some way to improving your opinion of them.

    Re: Herald of Oblivion

I hate to say it, but Sons of Dorn kinda tanked their rep :-) So anything other than that novel is a big step up :-)

    Re: Herald of Oblivion

Yeah, I am curious how you have done them, Jon. Book should arrive in the next few days.
I haven't read "Sons of Dorn"- I just dislike the whole self- mutilation/ painglove thing.
    And yellow as a colour....
But we just cant have Blood Angels all the time.

That was kind of the tipping point for me. I'll likely be placing my order tonight.
