    Fanny's Vampire Counts

After much pondering, I have decided to start a painting log for my Vampire Counts army and a separate one for my Warriors of Chaos which I am painting alongside. My Many Things log will now solely be used for any other models I am working on that don't fit under either of these armies.

My reasoning is that with dedicated PLogs that I have had in the past, I have stuck to one or two armies and kept focused. I have many half painted minis and to be frank I'm getting nowhere.

So here it is, my Vampire army so far:

Firstly I'll (re)introduce my Vampire Lord. This model is converted using the Vampire from the Zombie Dragon and a Chaos Steed and show different stages of painting so far.

Next up are my Wight King and the Vampiress from the Coven Throne.

I chose the green armour as I feel it has a ghostly look to it. I paint it using the prescribed GW method for Dark Eldar as I love their scheme, but didn't want to use it for my Dark Eldar army.

Wicked minis and paint job. Loving the paint job, think I might have to poach that myself. Roughly what paints and stages are neeeded? X

Looking great so far. Is the terrorgheist finished, or are you going to add some more to the base?
Look forward to seeing this progress, you paint so beautifully.

Looking good. I really like the dark green colour scheme you've gone with, haven't seen it on vamps before. This should be interesting.

Man, I had my doubts about that blue/green, but now I'm seeing it more I love it. Looks really great with that splash of red. I might even encourage you to add a touch more red on your mounted vamp. That's personal taste I suppose, but whatever the case, great job. Tob notch painting as always!

The armour is impressive. GW have made some lovely models recently (though there are still plenty of clangers to moan about). I think that the use of the DE scheme on the Undead is very clever - I would not have thought of it. The vampiress looks especially sinister.

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone. I was wary of the green armour at first, until I added the red and then it really started to work for me.

Great looking ghouls. Nice subtle change to the GW scheme. The blood effect is well done too, tamiya clear red?
