40K Army: Daemonhunters

Hi everyone, i'm new to 40k and am participating in my first tourney in 2 weeks. could people give me critique on my list. the models that i have are 5 paladins one with a daemon hammer 2 with halberds one with a incinerator and one with a psycannon. one dreadknight with a nemesis great sword and a heavy pasycannon, and a dreadnought with a twin liked assault cannon, a twin linked lass cannon and a close combat arm all are switchable.

Lascannon and psybolt has no effect you want auto cannons. Run the lone paladins with swords or hammers. Sorry didn't read dread upgrades I would go assault cannon you have a better chance at killing high armour but keep psybolt.

14 models in 1k points, are you insane? You'd not need to inflict many wounds before you start to suffer...A 275pt character in 1k points is a tad on the ridiculous side. Against a 1k dark eldar ravager/venom spam you'd be gone in an instant

He only has 1 unit (dred) that has over 24" range. Surely that's a disadvantage? All footsloggers too...hmm

I've run Draigo Wing at 1000pts and it works, though you do need two Psyflemen to make up for the lack of range and manoeuvrability.

So I'd say something like this:

Draigo.

Ordo Malleus Inquisitor with Terminator Armour, Hammer and Psycannon.

5 Paladins:
1 with Master Crafted Psycannon and Halberd.
1 with Incinerator and Sword.
1 with Halberd.
1 with Sword.
1 with Hammer.

Paladin with Hammer.

Psyfleman.

Psyfleman.

Total: 1000pts

Enough long range firepower to give Dark Eldar and Guard a run for their money, plenty of scoring units with Draigo's Grand Strategy and a very hard unit to hold your centre line.

Hmmm, I've done 1500pts vs hoard orks using 21 pure Gk......
Nice looking list, could use a few tweeks.
He could go and swap dreadnoght for a psy back for his purifiers, or take a chimera as a mobile bunker.
But..... Has any one asked him if he is going to tourney for a fun time, or a win at all costs time.... That is the main question, and should be made suggestions based on that and that alone.
His list IMHO will give him a challenge to play as.
