So I watched Starship Troopers with a friend the other night and I was really inspired by the uniforms that they wore.

I recently came across a bunch of the old plastic Imperial Guard from this box set:

Thinking that they looked a lot like the starship troopers from the movie, I wanted to paint them like that. However, I've looked at a few different websites and I haven't really found anything that helps me with figuring out the paints to use to achieve the grey that the troopers have in the movie.

The grey I want to achieve for the uniform looks like this, since the photos are of varying light.

Any company will do since I'll be able to afford it, but unless I have to go with the GW paints I'd rather not.
