No, as it is a monster it gets thunderstomp. Whats with the 'Dinner's Dinner' Rule? Is it basicaly a long winded way of calling the thing Unbreakable?
As for the model I like it, but that could just be because I'm easy going with models.

No, it's far from unbreakable. The rule determines that if random move takes it into contact with friendly models, it attacks them as well as enemies.

There's something about it that reminds me of the animated cave monster from Monty Python and The Holy Grail.........................

I like it. I suppose it could be fatter sideways, but that's a small complaint, if anything it makes it seem 'hungry' too my eyes.

Yea I got that, was just having a blonde moment with this bit: "This combat will continue until resolved normally. These appaling creatures are too dull-witted and hungry to care otherwise!" I suppose it is just straightforward, "resolved normally" just means until it, or the enemy (or friend), breaks or one or the other is dead?

It's ok. Nothing special on the sculpting and it does look like someone sat on the original sculpt, but as has been said, for a NG aracnarok it'll do.
Trying to convince Warseer that GW are anything less than perfect is like trying to teach a horde of zombies that lettuce is a perfectly acceptable alternative to brains.

Oh, what a surprise. OnG get a big critter and it's... yet another Squig variant. Go figure. Such creativity!

    The detail looks nice, anyway.

As long as lack of creativity spares us the Fantasy squiggoth, I'm fine with it

I'll most definately get one, it's à collossal squig! What's not to like?

Design? Yeah, well.. But it's à collossal squig!

Rules? Yeah, well.. But it's à collossal squig!

As à unit filler in à epic sized squigherd? As à count as arachnarok? Or as it self? I can see myself using it as any of those three..

Everybody needs à collossal squig, get yours today!

Not a fan of this model. Although I hate squigs in all forms very passionately, so it comes as no surprise that i dont like this one!

I like my models more...believable...than squigs. Although squigs play to the humour aspect of the OnG range, that is a side of OnG i kinda dislike

Each to his own I suppose, for me the humour aspect of orcs is the best of whole warhammer setting, I passionately dislike the super serious armies like Dark Elves, which are grim torturers, slavers and who knows what more... I could not have a super serious grim dark army

But to the squig, pity that it is based on WHonline concept art, and I hope that it will be last inspired by WHO artwork

    Re: Colossal Squig

Too far fetched IMO (and yet quite boring). What will be next? Cyclopean squig in the battle for black fire pass book?

"Cyclopean squigs are even rarer than the already rare colossal squig #seems like being rare is a trend nowadays#. They are creatures of nightmare, big round beasts with huge mouth full of fangs #yeah we know that, it's a squig!! do you have something else?#. They are very bad-tempered #really?#, so when gauded or summoned on the battlefield they get crazy and eat everything in their path #I couldn't find out by myself#. Random movement etc..."

Yeah that's original...I'll pass, I hope we greenskin players get something better in the next book (I'd prefer to see some troops than yet another big beastie that's coming out of nowhere for the sake of it)

For those with the monster book: is it still as rubbish as in the preview rules?

The rules are identical. It is a pretty cheap monster though (pointswise), and if I had a painted O&G army I'd invest the money just to field it as an eyecatcher.

So a definite NO on getting that one, then. Why couldn't they at least have made hilariously dangerous, like the Mangler? Both greenskin monsters have been definite let-downs as far as fun rules are concerned.

Buying minis is almost the exact opposite of investing. Exvest is probably better.

I agree. That thing should move 4D6, and do 2D6 attacks strength 1D6+2. And it should, dunno, have a kind of animosity roll where it has to move a random move on a 1, even if it's already in combat. It should be wacky.
