    40K Army: Space Marines
    hey guys,
    After being on here all night last night and all day today, i have seen quite a few lists have interested me, but having not seen any thunderwolve lists for a while...
    i decided that i would make one.

    i think this wouldnt do too bad in the competitive side of things,with the amount of shots that i can pour from the long fangs is decent, and the mini-thunders are deadly not too leave alone

    i'd suggest dropping second TWC squad and take a fenrisian wolf pack in its place to provide cover saves for them, plus an extra 45 attacks (15 wolves) when they get into combat, you can then give your TH/SS lord the saga of the bear.. making him survivable through to combat, as you will every much need him alive if you are dropping that many attack on them. Drop wolf born and give him wolkin.. making your fenrisian wolves iniative 5 and ld 7, so that squad of 15 attacking before marines... more brutal

    drop the flamers.. not really worth it.. seeing as though you only have those troops as placeholders for the lasplas.


    and that gives you 150 points to dick around with...

    WGBL, TW, Hunter Saga, power fist... that 150pt oneman squad is not to be ignored... especially with outflanking and stealth... a 3+ cover and a min of 19" charge range from outflank.. is brutal.. especially if you are taking out their back of the board HS.

    thanks for the comment mate, i can see where you are coming from with dropping the second TW squad.
    The flamers are only on them as it is free, Whilst at work today i wrote a list, thou it has no TW's, it can still pack quite a punch haha

    im thinking this will be more of a punch then the other list, plus i already have to grey hunter squads the rune priest, wolf guard and 2 land raiders

    its a nice list.. and at first glance 4 LR's look amazing... but you are sacrificing a huge chunk of your army.. 1040pts on 4 tanks.. with vulnerable things inside.



    with some tweaks and some magic a revised list would look like this..


    HQ
    Njal Stormcaller - 245pts

    Wolf Priest, Saga of The Hunter - 110pts

    ELITE
    5 wolf guard
    3 x combi melta
    wolf claw
    In LF's - TDA, Cyclone ML
    dedicated land raider redeemer - 410pts


    TROOPS
    2x 10man Blood Claws, Flamer - 300pts

    HEAVY
    5man LF, 5 ML's - 140pts

    2x Land Raider, MM - 520pts

    =1740

    so Nigel and wolfy in with the remaining 4 WG in a redeemer

    the rest as you orginally planned, with an extra boots to AT at the back of you army. so you have 4 units that cant be ignored... go after LF, and the LR's are clocking up for a turn2 assault, go after the LR's and your LF will pop their AV/AT

    i believe the list you made is good and solid, but for the opportunity to have 4 LR's that i can convert sounds like a great investment (makes me think about a dornian heresy space wolves, all that blood and gore wolves style ),
    Im thinking ill buy the Njal model in TDA either way as i can use him as a normal TDA rune priest when i dont have the points.

    In objective missions you only have minimal troops which could be a problem. If I were your opponent I'd try to wipe them out and you couldn't score. If I were you I'd hide them until turn 5 and swoop on objectives, but it could be a bit bottom clenching wondering if they will survive.

    Max out 1 TWC squad instead of 2 little ones. I don't have my codex here, but can't a squad be 5? The 2nd list looks interesting, but all those LR's... put troops in rhinos and save a lot of points for more troops IMO.
